The Game Atmosphere Today

That's the first time I tried that chat. I even politely asked for some cheering....but nada. :( I was cheering but it was hard to when it was followed by: "That's it....it's over....if we don't score on this drive, we lost the game".... when there's over 9 minutes left on the clock, we have the ball and we are down by 2 points! I just hope that group doesn't go to games.

Yeah, one would think u're accustom to win blow-out games and not leading in the forth quarter causes sweaty palms....I learnt a long time ago that in football 15 minutes last a very long time. Especially if ur moving the ball.'

Now when it got down to the two minute mark and the Panther had a chance to win, then I was hoping they would hold unto the ball and run out most of the time...which they did.

Even 4 minutes is a long time. 2 minutes is still plenty of time. But 9 minutes when you're only down 2? That's not panic mode time. That's an eternity.

Not to mention my favorite comment at one point: "yank Cam". I closed my laptop.

This represents it best:

I was there and, like said before, the rain was a lot more than you'd imagine by watching it on TV. I give huge props to the people who stayed outside in the rain the whole time, because it was a down pour and they made a LOT of noise.

I think they were loud because that kind of rain weeds out all but the most hardcore and/or drunk fans. Bringing my poncho was clutch. Also, I never noticed before that the drainage system for the upper deck drops rain like a waterfall directly onto some lower level seats. I don't know too much about stadium architecture but that seemed strange to me.

it rained so hard the first two rows of sect 140 were under water...we all waited on the rail for a bit and eventually went down and leaned against the seats and watched the game. The atmosphere in the concourse was great, everyone glued to the monitors during the third quarter, all pulling hard for the team. The visitor's tunnel was underwater until the 4th quarter.

it looked to me like Newton was throwing off his back foot most the game and just sailing passes. I'm not sure if he needs another step back or what the deal is...but after the first five high throws, someone needs to talk to the kid.

But a win is a win, and I'll take that every time...

Honeslty, after the game, the fans were excited like it was a playoff game. I have never heard so much "lets go panthers" cheers after a game.

Never got this. The game is over, the Panthers already goed. "You did well, Panthers" would be a better chant.

lol @ everyone making excuses for the losers that whimpered up into the shelters at the first drop of rain.

i was proud of everyone that stayed out though. we made an unbelievable amount of noise for such a small smattering across the stadium. i literally have no voice right now.

AWESOME day.
