Coaching Staff: Not as Good As We Hoped?

This isn't a bad coaching staff. They just seem to be fine losing games trying to allow Cam Newton to get the "throwing TDs in the redzone" monkey off of his back. And they seem to have been obsessed with it since the first missed opportunity against the Cardinals.

There is no legitimate reason to keep taking shots to the endzone play after play, and if they weren't okay with it, they'd have said something about it by now. Chip away at it, then fight your way into the freaking endzone, and quit acting like it has to all be gotten on one pass.

I don't think that makes them a bad "coaching" staff. It just makes them too focused on the long-term (player development) at the expense of the short-term (winning). If it goes well, you probably win. If it doesn't, you're 1-3.

That OP is almost neg rep worthy

This is funny. I visit many team's forums, and watch as the homers viciously defend their team and attack those who aren't blowing sunshine out their rears. I have no problem being the reasonable one. The coaching staff has done a great job demonstrating their mistakes through the first quarter of the season. Some of it is because their new, some of it is a problem in philosophy. Unfortunately, they have yet to learn form those mistakes, and that right there can be justifiably criticized.

u mad brah?

You seem to whining an awful lot. I made a thread calling out the coaching staff for their deficiencies through the first four weeks. Don't see why you're being so childish. Tampon jokes? lol. 7th grade called, dude.

You made a post-loss bitch and moan thread that brought nothing to the forum. Next time we lose turn your computer off and go sit in the corner so we don't have to be witness to your rants. thank you and have a nice day

For me looking at the big picture I think we have what is going to turn into a fantastic team and that includes the coaching staff.

I think you are overreacting to the outcome and not looking at the games as a whole.

Not to downplay the outcomes as at the end of the cycle the w/l record is probably the most important factor next to championship victories.

lol. Was i supposed to act like we won? We lost, and this forum is for discussing the team. IF you don't like having to read about why we lost, then perhaps YOU should be the one who steps away for a while. I have every right to discuss the reason's for our defeat. Coaching is the central reason behind it.

Yeah you have every right to voice your opinions but those opinions are premature. Its the 4th game for a new coaching staff thats looking for an identity give them time before you bring out the pitch forks.

really? how many games did you watch last year where our QB posted 374 yds with 3 TDs and we put 29 points on the board? OMG the sky is falling chicken little! seriously, STFU and quit whining

Some people are just satisfied with being entertained. Others just want to win. Others get sick of seeing a team GIVING games away, whether they win or lose (i.e., "not playing smart football").

Which are you?

Are these numbers suppose to please me? What are you getting at?

Because the numbers I'm focused on are our red zone problems, which is completely due to the "rainbows to the endzone" line of though Chud gets whenever we step across the 50

Things like penalties also grab my attention as well.
