Cam's Response to Olsen

I can't hate on the media for reporting it. I'd probably be the same way if I were a reporter in Chicago and had no talent or writing ability whatsoever. That's why I said I wish Cam handled it better. I don't have a problem with that response IN GENERAL, but with Cam, he's held to a higher standard. Non-stories for other players are huge stories when you're talking about Cam, and I'm afraid this will be one of them.

It's part of the learning process. Cam will learn how to manage his own emotions and being a leader for his teammates. But they will also learn that he is quite simply not content with "moral" victories, or being happy that he's playing well enough to win. He wants to win every game, every single time, and frankly, that is the tinge of crazy that every great player needs.

I'm not gonna lie... While twitter feeds/news can be interesting, it's like the TMZ of sports.

Back in the day, what options did sports reporters have to report something like this? they didn't, other than word of mouth, because they sure as hell weren't going to report it in the paper.

But with twitter, it's like an underground source... Their papers don't regulate what they tweet. So, they can report in their official capacity through the paper, and then tweet juicy-gossip-type stuff on twitter with no repercussions...

Many of the reporters do this with all intentions being "look at me! I'm the first to report this!!!"

I grew up watching football when it was a real sport for men. Now it's just a sport to make money where grown men a watched by those who use to play the sport and told how to act...

Anyway, I'm sure if those reporters had twitter back then...I can't even imagine. I'm sure they said worst.

Cam was the #1 draft pick, and the face of this franchise, so he's gonna get a lot of scrutiny. that being said, other players get a ton, too (Romo? lol), and even comments like this from other players have made it on to ESPN (Manning had one at one point, and I think there have been others as well).

Romo gets it because it's the Cowboys. Manning and the like occasionally get on ESPN for freaking out, but it's usually dismissed as "Well he's just being a leader hurpa derpa." It's happened far more often than what you see on ESPN, but I really believe each and every incident like this with Cam will be reported by ESPN, at least this year anyway.

He said FU to his team-mate right after a game...Like really...The coaches curse at these players while on the field....

It's seems that Cam is held to an unrealistic standard...No human being should be treated the way he is. This kid every move is srutinize only to have folks act like they wouldn't have done the same.

Have u been to this site during a game? I'm sure some of these folks would knock someone out after a game as fired up as some of them are...

Seriously, I've heard worst on the playing field while watching "Miked-up" on NFLN.

But it's Cam...

And people can flame if they want, but I'm telling you, when big money is involved, refs influence the outcome.

All of our games against Dallas (except for the playoff wins) have shown it to a disgusting degree.

Then today, especially when you take into consideration what Shockey said about the refs response after the play... And they didn't throw the flag until seconds after the ball was complete and a clear TD...

Shady stuff...
