Cam's Response to Olsen

So you're saying we should get rid of one of our best weapons in Olsen....yea I'm glad you have no say in our personnel moves....

when the hell did i even allude to that? if olsen doesnt want to be here to win then hell no, i dont want him here. this is the same reason none of us care that peppers is gone. once we start getting some wins im sure hell change his attitude.

group hug?

If he really did snap at Olsen a little after the game it was probably because Cam beats himself up a good bit when he screws something up in a game. That's okay as long as he doesn't overdo it and he LEARNS from his mistakes.

NFL QBs are GOING TO make some mistakes. It happens to the best of them. Just ask Tony Romo with the Cowboys. He's made some really big ones at the worst possible times. Cam needs to be reminded of this. This is the big leagues and being an NFL QB is probably the toughest job in all of sports.

Cam was probably kicking himself when Greg told him "good game" and all that. I bet Cam and Olsen have already "hugged it out" like they say on that show about Hollywood agents called "Entourage".

I'm not worried about where he goes off the field' date=' this kid lives and breathes football. I just think he needs to grow up as far as his attitude after a loss. This isn't college anymore, there will be plenty of losses along the way. He needs to learn to take the bad with the good and take it all in stride....[/quote']

Wow..u are ridiculous...The kid said FU and some dumb ass reporter decided to twit it. Do you know what was the tone of his Cam's voice and whether he meant it in a meanspirited way? Did he punch Olsen in the face after?

Damn, It's folks like u that keep the media up this kid's ass. I now see why ish get spunned out of controlled in the media..Let it go fuging go and go train ur kids to be mature adults...Damn.

How do you know he needs to change his attitude. As I said before maybe Olsen's mindset is "this one got away it's over and done with, what can I do to make sure we get a W next week"....

I'd rather not ask Tony Romo about anything ever.

I've disagreed with so many of your posts in the past but I couldn't agree with this one more. This is all I'm saying' date=' put this behind you, learn from it and don't have it happen again...these guys are your brothers, not the enemy....[/quote']

Yeah, you're so eager to "put it behind" you won't stop talking about it.

Nobody is saying it's a big deal at all. We're just saying that Cam needs to realize who his teammates are and respond better after a loss. You're not going to win every single game in the NFL so you have to learn to cope with the losses....

To hell with that. I don't ever want to see Cam Newton lose that edge. I want him to hate losing with a passion. If he snaps at a teammate every once in a while, so what? Steve Smith has been the same way his whole career, and that's what drives him to work his ass off every off season when nobody is watching and to play with a big chip on his shoulder when they are watching. When he loses that, he's done.

Learn how to fuging spell, and use a little grammar in your sentence. When you figure out how to use these basic principles of the English language I might care enough to respond to your dumbass rants like the one above....until then I'm done debating with you....

Non story.

Cam was drafted to lead and set the tone. He doesn't want moral victories......he made that clear. He just wants to win. No one on his team should be saying "good game" to him in a lose......it wasn't a good game. They lost.

If this story is true.....who cares? Much worse things have been said amongest teammates.

As I said before, last time I checked message boards served a certain function. Big difference in me (a fan) debating with other fans about it and Cam putting it behind him and learning from the situation....

Its not the smartest thing you could do. But if someone would have told me a couple of years ago that I could have a QB with Smittys heart :party:

This is part of what makes Smitty and Cam great and if you take it out of them you will make poo.

So yes its dum but this is how he his and this drive is what is gonna make him a fantastic NFL player like Smith. Hell we forgave Smitty for punching two guys from out own team, lets not kill Cam for a simple fug you.

I don't know if there was ever a game where Steve Smith didn't drop a few F-bombs Jake Delhomme's way. This whole thing is a non-story.

    • Derrick Brown was one player I never called or even suggested was a bust . Dude was young and hadn't even hit his stride. It takes time to learn the position. The thing I appreciated about him is that he kept improving season after season. He got paid and keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny.
    • How many teams coddle their QB the way Bryce has been coddled? I have never seen any other team in the NFL EVER baby a QB the way that Bryce has been.  Bryce was named day 1 starter his first year. It was obvious he didnt deserve it. He wasnt ready as evidenced by the worst rookie year in NFL history.  So let's move to year 2. He's named starter again with no competition in TC and is benched 2 games later. We have the ghost of a backup in Dalton who is so bad he can only beat Vegas and let's remember, the only reason he lost his starting job was a car accident, not because Bryce actually beat him out in practice.  And year 3. We sign Dalton again, who already proved he couldn't be depended on to put an even remotely passable performance on the field, and bring back Jack Plummer, who was even worse than last year. It was obvious he was nothing more than a pretend body in an attempt to create an illusion of some type of attempt to find a backup.  Then we start again with garbage play again and Bryce gets benched with a phantom injury, and the ghost of the ghost of Dalton breaks his thumb on the first drive and craps the field all over again. If we had actually made an attempt to find a legitimate QB2, it's possible Bryce doesn't step on the field again. Bryce is not agood QB and if we had any other mediocre QB, our record would be the same or better.  Bryce is not entrenched. He's been placed, protected and sheltered from ever having to face a  real QB competition in TC. Richardson and Levis both were ass and both were benched and eventually replaced.  Do I expect Baker to face competition in camp? Sure. I expect Tampa to find the best QB2 they can at price that fits their cap and resources and system and get him up to speed. If he's better than Baker, and if he's better by a significant margin, that's best for the team. The ultimate goal is a Super Bowl. Bellichek was constantly getting QB2s with the GOAT as his starter. He knew the value and that was realized when Cassell led them to an 11-5 record as a backup.  You and I may think differently than the people that matter but I will say it again. If you're afraid to bring in a capable backup, especially after the debacle of last year. The starting role wasn't earned, it was given, and that's loser mentality.
    • I would have done the same thing.  LSU is a much better job than Ole Miss.  Plus the enormous contract and every advantage a college team can offer in terms of recruiting and facilities and tradition etc
