Now days you simply need a fighter at the WR position, someone who will fight for the ball. Lafell even goes as far as blocking a possible pick. He is a big body for blocking. Better production. Why the confusion?

Its clear LaFell needs more reps. Im not saying give the guy the job but just let them go 50/50 for a game and see what happens. Your looking for a spark so why not try that?

Like i been sayin my biggest issue with this dude is that we are goin to him in the CLUTCH and we are not getting anything in return and its costing us. Its time to see what somebody else can do, Lafell has mirrored his production and already has made WAY tougher catches this season than he has at all. I really hope they smartin up fast and we dont have John Fox type situation going on again.

That two point conversion we were going for was down the middle. I've seen smitty, olsen, shockey, even armanti in preseason albeit, catch that pass.

I've seen other players make catches or even FIGHT for the ball. Naanee doesn't. He seems very apathetic about getting to the ball.

BINGO! ive been unable to get two plays out of my head where naanee could have prevented a pick or even managed to make a catch if he put an ounce of effort it.

The green bay game where cam threw a pick in his direction, naanee literally jumped maybe 4 inches off the ground. hes a professional athlete and can run block well, he has the leg strength to jump at LEAST 12 inches off the ground to catch that.

Chicago game with cams only pick. same deal except he could have also easily batted that pass away from defenders.

Dude has no fight in him. Guess thats what we get when we just hand a starting job and salary over to san diegos third stringer.

I agree about the pick in the Chicago game, yeh it was a bad pass, but the dude is tall and it went right through the middle of his hands. If he at least gets his hands somewhat behind it and attempts to bring it down to his chest, at the very worst go goes straight down into the ground. The one during the GB game though, I don't think there was anything he could do. Sure in a perfect scenario he might have been able to reach it, but he was just coming out of a break, the ball was coming at him fast and from what I can gather by the way he reached for it, it was a little behind him as well. Just a bad throw. I'm not even close to trying to defend Legedu(I was calling for lafell during the preseason), but u gotta at least give a fair assessment.

no way man. the ball was maybe half a foot away from naanee. look at how high up he jumped. maybe it woulda been a pick either way but hes gotta at least give it his all.

No one in the nfl can make a catch on a ball thrown a yard behind them and high when they are almost at a full sprint

One that sticks out to me is at 13:00 of the 1st quarter of the Bears game. It's not a clutch situation or anything, but it was the kind of play that Smith and Lafell have been making all over the field.

30ish yard pass, Cam threads the needle between two defenders with an incredible throw that hits Naanee right between the numbers. Bounces off the center of his chest and hits the ground. Doesn't even get a hand on it.

You know I didnt know Naanee had a problem catching the ball. That's something I didn't think was an issue. It was other things that seemed to be a problem. But man he should have caught a few of them

On the flipside, in the latest presser Joe Person asked Ron Rivera about the decision to replace Mike Goodson on kick returns with Kealoha Pilares.

Rivera politely corrected that it was actually Jordan Pugh who had replaced Goodson.

Which is sad that you don't even know the Panther players as the beat writer....

I will honestly be surprised if Naanae is starting vs. Saints this sunday...he was a weak link in sunday's game. That is obvious.

There was another play by LaFell in the Chicago game I didnt like either. He caught a ball by the sideline and spun directly out of bounds after the catch. He didnt have the field awareness. He didnt know how much space he had or where the first down marker was. He could have had the first down because he had space to run. The announcner commented on it.

Its just the little mistakes on details like this...and Naanae being a pussy and not catching the ball...thats contributed to the losses.
