LeBron James: WR for the Panthers?

I think he would answer his own question of "should I?" once he stopped practicing with high schoolers and did a week with the pros. Not saying he isnt physically capable, but to not have played for so long and at such a low level, I dont think he could make it in the NFL.

Plenty of really good athletes could not make it in the NFL because they could not take the punishment. The mental toughness required to play in the NFL is unlike any other major sport... you have to be willing to take a HUGE shot, line back up and do it all over again.

I'm not a Michael Irvin fan, but he was one of the best WR's during his time and he admits to being terrified of having to go over the middle, so he would remind himself that it was "back to the ghetto" if he didn't go in there and catch the ball. You don't have to deal with anything like that in a basketball game.

I have a ton of respect for the athleticism and skill required to be an NBA player, but it's silly to assume that even a great player like LeBron could hack it in the NFL, regardless of his athleticism.

The MLB would probably take the brunt of the damage. Lebron is over 280 pounds of pure muscle.

More like 250, and he's 6'8" so he's like a very tall and thin TE... Urlacher weighs 258, would love to see how much LeBron wants to play in the NFL after going over the middle to catch and pass and being thrown right into a blind hit from Urlacher.

I'm not saying LeBron couldn't do it, but to assume someone can hack in in the NFL just because they're a great athlete is a bad assumption.

Two Words Tony Gonzalez

Ok, so what?

Tony Gonzalez has proven he can take the punishment in the NFL... LeBron hasn't. I know LeBron is a great athlete, but I want see how willing he is to go across the middle after he's been jacked up real good, that's what makes you a successful NFL player.
