Raiders get 2 Primetime games

they will be better than 0-16 but they will still be the detroit lions...a team forever cursed with mediocrity as it's ceiling.

truthfully we should be able to know after the draft how they are going to be.

if they spend the majority of the draft on the trenches and hold of on QB then they have a chance at rebuilding a decent team. if they go QB in the first then they will still be teh suck.

i WOULDNT overlook the Lions this season. I am not saying they will be a 10-6 team, but I think with the "new attitude" of the FO and the new identity they are about to get, they will be a lot better.

we will know by week 5

yea i think they could have a run game next year too..that rookie put 100 on us this year..with a good Oline he could be something i say with soft games to play 8-8

Point is on a day when you have millions of people who otherwise never watch football watching it, why year after year continue to feature one of the worst organizations in the NFL?

Mediocrity is not a good tradition. :nonod:

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
