Make Captain a Special Teams Captain let him return anything kicked and play him as a gunner on punt coverage. Play him in his former nickel package, and go with Butler on the boundary full time. I'm not saying this as a demote Captain, but we need a playmaker on special teams. Captain has been good in that regard here so far in his career.

no. secondary depth is bad enough as it is. if captain goes down because he got hurt on ST we are in dire straits at CB. he wouldn't make a big enough difference on ST to make that risk worth it.

I don't think its that big of an injury risk. We've been playing Butler on special teams already anyway. Hopefully Hogan can give us a boost as well, but Captain would give us a huge boost being somebody who can actually play some football.

I'm not opposed to using him as a PR. Hell I'll trying damn near anyone at PR if that means we'll get some good field position.

I can understand the strategy aspect of not wanting to put him back there .. but at this point .. Armanti is getting what looks like 3 or 4 yards a return most times.. Get some speed back there somehow and it can turn into just 1 cut will get you 9 or 10 everytime.

the returner isn't the problem. it's the blocking for the returns. at this point devin hester wouldn't look any better.

Our return blocking has been horrible. There have been people literally on top of Armanti when he catches the ball on almost every punt.

the special teams unit is lacking in just about every department. Thats why I'd like to see an established team leader take a stab at filling a huge roll of all around special teams ace. He could be a huge hit at this roll.

Munnerlyn consistently runs in the low 4.4s in the 40-yard-dash and he has reportedly gone as low as 4.30.
