Brady Rule

Joe Montana broke his back, I wonder what they would do to protect against that?

Didn't the same injury happen to Carson Palmer and nothing changed?

Evey few years a QB get hurt this bad and they tweak the rules, soon the sack will be history, because the QB will be untouchable. And Players like Peppers will be obsolete.

But he's already got the tuck rule. And a receiver who can get away with pass interference whenever he wants. And another receiver who catches screen passes and takes advantage of illegal blocks all day.

It must be easy for him to win so much when the NFL changes the rules to suit his every whim.

It would be stupid to have another specific rule for QB's... this kind of thing is and should be covered under the "roughing the passer" and "personal foul" rules. If the hit is particularly egregious, then the commisioner can fine and suspend, which they already do. Enough with the QB's already.

"It's not good for the league. What makes it special is special players. It's like going to see a great movie and the star isn't in the movie. It's the same principle."

What a pompous, arrogant ass. Brady being out, while unfortunate due to injury, made the year palatable to me. I didn't miss him one tiny bit, tyvm douchenozzle.

"He looks like a stud," Kraft said. "He almost looks more broad, more filled out. He has an infectious personality that is so charismatic and contagious. He's just got that special enthusiasm about him.

Wow... I'm expecting him to blow Brady at T-minus.. 5... 4.... 3... 2... 1...

Either that or a rimjob.

That means getting back to the playoffs and chasing a fourth Super Bowl title this decade, after sitting out the postseason last year with an 11-5 record.

"Which was brutal, brutal," said Kraft.

Oh boy... are those real tears Krafty?? Talk to the Lions about brutal you twit.

Wow.. anyone care to dispute that the league nuthugs the Patsies now?? This is pure horsepoo, plain and simple. So, the DBs are just supposed to tickle em now to try and stop a QB from passing?!

Palmer 0- Brady 11tybazillionz! I'd be pissed if I were Palmer right now, myself. As it is, I'm just disgusted.

    • The game thread is stream of consciousness. I may or may not have made a tasteless remark I don’t recall.    I know that my reaction was mixed, , not sure if I thought it was a positive or a negative in terms of.the game.    What I do know is we don’t need him hurt in the middle of a year where the jury is looking to come in on his future. fug that we need him playing and healthy so it is a fair game evaluation wise.    That is absolutely the most important thing in my mind by a large margin. I am not happy he is hurt, at all.
    • It's Wednesday, we're bored, and suffering theough another Halloween cooking show pretendingto be interested. What'd you expect.
    • I wasn't saying that's the only way to get one. My post was in direct response to the "if you have the opportunity to get a game breaking TE, you take them" I was just saying that if you're taking a TE in the 2nd or 3rd round, you're just hoping they can become that game breaking TE.  The ones that you KNOW will become that, are the guys like Bowers or Warren who go in the early 1st round. We just took mid round TEs that both show solid potential, I don't see how taking a TE in the 1st would make sense over the other available players.  And taking one in even the 2nd or 3rd just seems like to big of a risk at that position when we have so many other needs.
