Sparked by a post in the Panthers forum. Time to eat some crow.

Cam Newton - didn't want him, looks to be a future star

Matt Moore - thought he would be the next great undrafted QB

Dwayne Jarrett - thought he would be a perennial pro bowler

Aaron Curry - thought he would be a star, safest pick in the draft, etc

Golden Tate - proclaimed him the next Steve Smith

Mardy Gilyard - thought he would do great things

I also thought MM would be the next great undrafted QB

Thought the same as OP on G. Tate

Didn't think Jarrett would be a perennial Pro Bowler, but I thought he'd be a good solid #2 to take over for Moose.

Thought EB would be the next Freeney (even bought his jersey ugh)

Thought Naanee woul be a great addition, at least a good #3

I literally broke my TV remote when I heard Clausen's name announced because I wanted Tate sooooo bad. I mean he's shown flashes of being a play maker but not what I expect of him.

I also thought Sam Bradford would get sacked into a coma his rookie year and be a constant injury magnet his entire career. Proved out to be tougher than I thought.

Duke Robinson, loved the pick

thought he had a chance to be a day 1 starter but definitely by year two he's starting and a stud at that

f**k me

thought Duke would be alright but figured he dropped for a reason

I'll one up you on that though.

Thought Bernadeau would be a stud.

    • "I'm not stunned," Hansbrough said. "We talked about it at halftime, you asked me 'you have to be pretty happy.' And I said, 'No I've seen this story before.' I've seen this happen. They just had some lapses in games where they just go still offensively, defensively. Their competitiveness just drops a little bit. They never step on anybody's throat. When they have a team with a little bit of a lead, they never step on the throat. It's been something all year." The only disagreement I'd have with Hansbrough's assessment is that it's not limited to just this year. It's been Hubert's entire tenure. Hallmarks of Hubert's teams are: streaky shooting, streaky focus, running your starters into the dirt because you won't sub, and absolutely embarrassingly bad plays put of timeouts. It all points straight to the coach. When the roster keeps changing but the core fundamental issues keep recurring, it's not the players.
    • Leafs are broken. Out of the playoffs and Matthews done for the year.  It's either a very dangerous game against a team who doesn't give a fug and will leave it all on the ice, or a team who's thrown in the towel with an effort to match. And, yes, I'm sitting in the Miami Airport waiting on my next flight. Will be back in Lenovo both 28 & 29 for the b2b.
    • I’m guessing this counts as top 30 visit.
