We were supposed to win.

What an awesome game. Finally, the Panther's played like a complete team. Offense lit it up and scored points, defense had some takeaways and played smart football. Couldn't really ask for more in this game. Excellent job.

What really made me happy is that we were supposed to win, and we didn't let the game slip away. Nothing is worse than losing to a team that, realistically, we should beat. The other losses this season were against good teams, excellent teams. So at 2-5, I am actually impressed given the circumstances.

Looking ahead at Minnesota, I wouldn't call this game one we are supposed to win. But we definitely have a shot. If the defense holds AP to 1 touchdown and less than 75 yards, pick off Ponder at least once, the offense should be able to outscore the Vikings.

Good game, looking forward to next week!

I doubt we hold Peterson to less than 100-125 yards, but I say we put up enough points where they have to start throwing more. That said, Ponder looked pretty good yesterday.

What in the world is your definition of "pretty good?"

The Vikings are blowing up. Berrian is about to get kicked off the team, and Peterson left yesterday's game with an ankle injury. Their corners are abysmal and the Panthers are going to go off against them.

    • it helps that Bryce and Tmac worked out a bit this off-season before the draft and are familiar with each other's game from way back.  Sure Bryce put in a good word for him to the coaching crew ahead of time That california connection goin' work, I hope

    • My biggest problem is I think the players he likes don't really work in the modern NFL.  You mentioned the wr room being a lot better, is it?  It has the potential to be.   Last year when we traded up to get Legette, they said they traded up to take him specifically because he was a true X receiver.   Now this year they take TMac because they say he is and that XL was out of posisition last year.  Im not sold on Tmac yet just like I wasn't sold on XL last year.  If TMac isn't a lot better than last XL was last season then that's back to back first rounders in one position that would still need a huge amount of work.  Hopefully Tmac is what everyone seems to think he will be, I'm just not so sure, but them declaring XL was a true X receiver after the draft last year and what they're saying now should at least give you pause about their receivers evaluation because it means they definitely made a mistake one way or another.
