Turning Points

Something that mentioned a couple of weeks ago is learning to "win".

We have some serious inexperience out there right now. Rookie HC, young DC, Rook QB, and lots of first time starters. They are all learning right now, and honestly, I am really enjoying watching it take place.

I think the players bought into Rivera right off the bat.

As for Cam, I saw a big change in his game starting with Atlanta. Even though he had 3 picks, it was the first game where more often than not, he was hitting his receivers in the numbers. That continued yesterday and culminated in an 8 for 8 performance in the 2nd half. If we see it, you know the players see it magnified times 10.

The running game is starting to click and Chud is much more confident in calling a balanced game now.

So the buy in, I think, went to a new level in the Atlanta game even though it was our worst loss, and stepped up even more yesterday.

The one exception may be special teams. The schemes we have used have been largely ineffective, and the unit lacks confidence. We will have to wait a while to watch them turn the corner.

The Chicago game was the first one where I stopped seeing back foot throws and jumping throws. He finally seemed to be minimizing the "phantom pressure", standing in the pocket and making his throws the right way.

Getting past the mental transition is huge.

Most of the time turning points are usually measured retrospectively as we evaluate at what point things turned around based on different results. So really there isn't much to say until we can look back and decide when things did turn around.

Haved we turned the corner ? I don't know.

Neither do I.

But it makes for an interesting discussion.
