stewart's more consistent

deangelo's weakness is that if he gets caught behind the LOS he's fuged, stewart is better at lowering his pads and getting positive yardage because he's tougher to bring down because he's the juggernaut bitch

agreed... what I dont understand is why it seems like we rarely want to get DWill to the sidelines, we seem to prefer to send him up the middle.

both are good backs, they compliment each other well... Stewart may have a slight edge lately but I honestly feel a lot of that is playcalling.

I guess anyone with the name "number28."

Personally I see them having played pretty close to equally but in vastly different situations, and therefore getting some difference in results.

call me stupid, but please explain the vastly different situations because stewart gets more playing time and has more responsibilities than williams.

Because Stewart is part of more packages, he's getting a greater variety of looks. He's in on more short yardage plays (understandably) and in the red zone. Early on, it really seemed like run plays were telegraphed when D-Will was in the game, but that got better a few weeks in. There just seems to be a greater variety of running plays for Stew, whereas D-Will they seem to be used more traditionally. Perhaps this is due to weakness in D-Will's game (stew seems to be more relied upon to pass block), but he always seemed like a decent enough receiver in the past and he certainly is a good back to get to the edge. I think he is a more elusive open field runner, it just seems to me like we are having trouble getting him the ball in space to make plays. I do agree that because Stew always gets a yard or two he is more consistent than D-Will.

Maybe he has lost a step, but I think some of his earlier games show how deadly he can be when he gets the ball in his hands in space. I think Stew is a great back too, and I do think they are using him more effectively.
