if he is bad vs the run, than why is he a pro bowler year in and out? a NT in a 3-4 scheme has to anchor the line and command a double team. with your formula you still have your size with Hardy and CJ at the DE spot 260-270+. Coples whose frame can add bulk to be 300+ without losing a step and a NT that is 300+. and im no unc football fan.

Um, because he's a Cowboy? And he's also a decent pass rusher. Pass rushing statistics are more easily quantifiable and impress Pro Bowl voters more.

I'm assuming you're referring to me, but I never said anyone said that. I said the only way to get our best players on the field, if we were to draft him, would be to have 3 DEs and a DT on the line. And I don't think that scheme would work very well.

Yea, I know. I'm even a UNC fan, but I'm more of a Panther fan and I'd rather have what's good for the Panthers than having a Tarheel on the team. I had decided to just stop participating in this thread, but I just keep getting sucked in by misrepresentations of things I've said and arguments I just can't ignore.

being a cowboy is not the reason he made it to the pro bowl. when you a NT in a 3-4 making 30 tackles and 7 sacks a year might have something to do with.

if he is projected to play a DE in a 4-3 and 3-4 why cant he play some DT? and he did play there some in college when Marvin was suspended. the guy can play anywhere across the DL.

How would everyone feel about this draft?(I took this from draftsite but changed one of the picks because I feel Harrison smith is turning into a great safety in both the pass game and is one of the best open field tacklers I've seen)
