Zach Brown.. and oh how I bleed Carolina blue.. I doubt will be our guy.. tweener type, having a good year.. but I just don't know... There are like 3 or 4 guys I like over him..

He had went to the Georgia game over the weekend(twitter) so I would say he's doing well. But, walking, and the usual things we do everyday is nothing like what his knee endures on the football field.

You think Brown can be an every down impact player on this d? You don't have LBs you like better? I'm not saying you're wrong, so please don't get all defensive.. but I've watched every college snap of this kid and I just don't think he is the best option for what we run.. I would play him as our 3rd LB and James Anderson already got that on lock..

Idk about Davis. Love him as a player, but statistics don't play in his favor.

Either way I expect a LB to be picked in the first 3 rounds.

I'd take Manti Te'o or Vontaze Burfict over Zach Brown every day of the week. And I am a Tar Heels fan.

Vontaze is a freak athlete. Boarderline super freak athlete. I can't see the future and tell you what he can do in the pros, but I can tell you that strength, speed, nor instincts will be what holds this kid back. He is the one LB in the draft that I think can play any LB position at the NFL level. No scout will question his ability. He is 100% pure raw talent, and he's taken his defense over. I know Rivera has to be drooling over this kids game tape.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that by the time the draft gets here, all the sites will be unanimous and say that Brown is the best LB in the draft. Most are already there, just waiting on ESPN to catch up like always. On top of that Vontaze is a loose canon and very undisciplined and not as much of a freak athlete as some say he is. His 40 times are below par for what you'd want in an OLB at 4.7 - 4.9.

Talk about a freak athlete, how about a 4.40 for a 6-2 233 lb OLB. That's faster then most HB and WR in the NFL.

I hear you on the draft boards talk. Again, I watch Brown every Saturday. I saw how he stepped up for Coach Davis when we needed him. I've also took notice to what he's been able to do this year, now that he is being counted on to be the guy. He can be a big time playmaker and I've seen the plays.

But. I don't think he is the best. You say Vontaze is a loose canon, and I see that too, but this is the type of Athlete that absolutely dominates on every single play. I think we have a good enough staff, and you throw in Beason, Anderson, and possibly Davis(just as a mentor/role player since so many people have written him off) you have a perfect situation to groom an NFL greatest. He is the guy that lands in a bad situation and he's a bust, land in a good situation and he is a gem.

Any body we add, FA or Draft, will likely be so excited to be apart of CAM that poo aint the same. That's why I prefer to roll the dice on the long ball verses hand it off for the short gain. ;)

I've seen a few of Arizona's games this year and I was not impressed, doesn't seem to be playing at the level he was last year.
