ya quote stats? But don't keep track?

Lol

Well you're questioning the offense and defending..well the defense.

Its been said all over the radio and on tv top 5 offense. So yea I heard about it. I dont dig into the research and science of it like some on this board do.

You act as if people should be happy over how the D has played this year.

there is a double standard on this board.

When the defense makes mistakes, bash them all you want.

When the offense/cam makes mistakes, deflect.

I realize the defense is hurting. I realize the expectations for the defense was much higher than what we're seeing.

Last game, both offense and defense played well..until the 3rd quarter. The defense started allowing big run plays, and the offense couldn't get a first down.

On top of it, i see majority of fans calling for mare's head, when the game never should have come down to a kick to TIE the game.

You guys enjor your double standards.

Great statement.

No this is not broad or generic at all.

also lol "enjor"

i'm not questioning any of the ratings. I'm talking about this last game, and how the majority of fans responded to it.

You sound like nothing but a lemming.

Thanks for your imput..

It's funny how snakebit we've been on 3rd in short in the 3rd quarter. Most of the time the defense figures out that we will probably be running Cam on a designed run and are spying a bunch of guys on him. But the few times we throw it we take a big shot and they are off the mark but could of been game winning throws..

The defense is strugglin the most Pantherclaw. Thats not to say they havent shown flashes or that guys like Johnson and Anderson havent been making plays. But we need more big plays from that side of the football. More CONSTANT pressure on opposing QBs.

I'm confident were gonna turn it around. This team and organization knows defense. It might not be in 2011, but we will get better defensively. We need PLAYMAKERS that feel like you feel Pantherclaw that its a double standard, and go terrorize NFL offenses because of it. Guys who take it personal and make a bigger impact on the outcome of games than our offense. Lets make our defense as exciting and opportunistic as our O.

more than i wanted to see. Please keep this up, you are proving my point.

Notice how many people are getting on you about your awesome thread.

Listen man. Accept this. Offense is the reason why we've even been close. Not defense...not defense...offense. Accept it and move along.

    • It’s not new. That particular claim has largely disappeared because it has become untenable, but a few games into his rookie year when the playbook/gameplan/personnel/everything was terrible there was endless claims, posts, even threads made that Bryce Young was physically incapable of throwing the ball 20 yards downfield in the NFL. It was also argued that physically throwing the ball 20 yards in the NFL was somehow different than college. Once he threw the ball 20 yards, the goal posts moved to 30 yards, etc. I’m not going to use the search function for you, the point wasn’t as much that one claim as it was that that was one claim out of many that has made it very difficult to have a reasonable discussion here.
    • I mean, I can get a ball downfield 40 yards.  There would be a couple massive issues with me doing it.   My ball placement would be off the charts bad.  Second, for me to get it 40 yards I'm gonna have to moon it......which would give DBs the opportunity to make plays on balls that wouldn't exist if a better QB were throwing it.  Which is all an exaggerated explanation of the Bryce issue.  To many play the literal game w/ Bryce when it comes defending him.  Every NFL QB likely can loft one up around 50 yards.  Every QB in the NFL can't get a ball 30 yards downfield in the same windows.  Or the same ball placement.  That's the Bryce issue.    But I also think mixed into that is just his QB DNA.    Take a young Brees, it was in his DNA to stress defenses and takes shots.  He would flat out be Delhomme-ish at times.  Which is coverage and assignment altering.  Brees would throw balls into triple coverage 40 yards downfield.  Is that smart? Sometimes it is.  Not because the play gets made but you force the secondary to play honest.
    • Tbf were not going to the superbowl this year so the development of our young wr is invaluable  As a side note 5 of our wr are in their 2nd year or less ( t Mac, Coker, tremayne, horn, x)  It's def a promising youth movement
