Kalil thinks Gross should be a pro bowler

Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, reports C Ryan Kalil said he believes OT Jordan Gross should go to the Pro Bowl this season. "It starts with Jordan Gross," Kalil said. "He's been living up to his franchise tag. He's been doing a great job so far. He really needs to go to a Pro Bowl. If he doesn't go to the Pro Bowl this year, the system is flawed because he is a monster out there."

Every unit seems extremely tight knit this year. I saw an article at work written a day before thanksgiving, with different players and what they were Thankful for. Jarrett said he was thankful to be a Carolina Panthers and talked about how thankful he was for ALL his team mates. Maybe he actually does understand Smith being so hard on him was only because the potential he see is him

A great line isn't always full of "stars", they usually are more than the sum of their parts. The best OLs are the ones that stay healthy and intact player wise for awhile (ie Colts until this year, NYG, etc). The key thing this year is that the backups have been filling in very nicely.

Gross is having his best year as a pro. And surprise surprise, it's at the LT position, which many, including myself, thought he could never be the LT that we need. Seems to me he is doing better than anybody else we've had at the position. Not only that, but he's a leader, and remains healthy.

Pay the man.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
