Robert Lester, FS, Alabama.

The best coverage Safety in the country, Lester will likely make his way into the mid 2nd round to a team like Carolina looking for an upgrade in the Secondary. In spite of spending most of his time at Alabama in the shadow of Dre Kirkpatrick and Mark Barron, Lester has consistently been known for ability in the passing game, while Barron has been more of a run stuffer. Lester has been a key element in Alabama's stout defense for the past couple seasons, and has been known to come rushing at the QB. You can read more about Lester in a write-up I did of him a while back: http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/the-nfl-draft/69192-taking-a-look-at-college-footballs-best-fs.html

Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama.

The best coverage corner prospect in quite some time, Jenkins may slip into the second round due to legal troubles and size. If Carolina were able to nab him there, it could be the steal of the draft. Jenkins plays fiercely and competitively, and as stated before, is quite the player defending the pass. He has held his own against the SEC's best, such as AJ Green, Alshon Jeffery, and Julio Jones. What's more, is that he has proven to be quite the asset blitzing the QB, which is a huge plus in Sean McDermott's system, and could make him a very big target for Rivera and staff. Jenkins' status between now and April could fluctuate between mid first or late second, and if he is there in the second, Carolina will have a hard time not taking him.
