Newton vs. Tebow

Alright, so I have an ignorant and very loud Broncos fan in my dorm. When we are fugged up on some type of substance we always talk crap about eachothers teams.

He honestly believes The Golden Calf of Bristol is better than Cam Newton, just because The Golden Calf of Bristol has more wins. Even though Cam Newton blows him away with skill set and talent, apparently The Golden Calf of Bristol is just hands down the better QB (if a QB is what you call him).

He says that The Golden Calf of Bristol is the most talked about QB on ESPN and other networks, not Newton. Even though I'm pretty sure that's because it's a bye week for Carolina. But does The Golden Calf of Bristol have his picture in the background on Fox NFL gameday news casts? Nope! Does Chuck Norris wear The Golden Calf of Bristol underwear? Nope!

So everyone, what is your perspective on this comparison? Honestly there isn't much of anything between the two other than what's popular among the fans on two losing teams. But for sh*ts and giggles let me hear what you have to say.

Cam Newton > Most NFL QB's > College QB's > The Golden Calf of Bristol

Cam Newton > Most NFL QB's > College QB's > The Golden Calf of Bristol

Point him to the record books where Cam is the best rookie QB in the NFL of all time in most categories and basically in general.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is in his second year and sat for a year. He should be lighting Cam the fug up.

Anyone who compares them is stupid and who the fug cares about comparing college. NFL is all that is needed, that's where things get hard.

I cannot stand this comparison or any comparison to Cam. He is setting records for being the best rookie QB all over the place, he cannot be compared to anyone but if he was it needs to be a rookie, but even still setting records means you don't compare to anyone.

The Golden Calf of Bristol currently has 2 wins.....Cam has 2. Let's review the difference in the wins.

1. Cam has played great

2. The Broncos found a way to win 2 games despite horrific QB play.

The Golden Calf of Bristol completes 26% of his passes when asked to throw past 10 yards. He is a running back he occassionally throws.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
