No rhythm on offense today.

That could have been expected coming off a bye week with a Rookie QB, following a lost. Not the first time that's happened in history.

Cam was leaning back every time he threw it today even if there was no pressure in his face, and the Offense never recovered after that Olsen fumble, both of which are inexcusable.

So who do you blame for the Offense never waking up, when the whole world knows they can do better?

The QB? The OC? The Head Coach?

In this case, I blame the Head Coach. Rivera's the guy who is in charge of ENERGIZING the team. If they start off flat, and remain flat throughout, it's all on him.

This is a reality check...This team WILL NEVER win if the defense does not get it together. When the offense have a great day, the team loses. When the offense have a bad day, the team loses bad. The Panthers DO NOT have a DEFENSE. U can make all the excuses in the world. It does not seem to matter WHO this team plays. The opposing team have a great chance to win than the Panthers.

I've blamed the Defense all year.

Today was NOT the Defense's fault. It was all on the Offense. How do you blame the Defense for a 3 point outing? Sure, Tennessee scored 30 points, but that was only because the Offense never kept the ball long enough to keep them off the field.

Today, it was all on Rivera for allowing the Offense to play DEAD from start to finish.

we've had dozens of flat games over the last decade.. one reason Fox was fired.. if this is the only one we have, I'll be happy.. I doubt it will be under the circumstances of new staff, young team, injuries, and no offseason..

if Rivera allows this to become a trend, he will be fired too..

What genius decided to run all those screens against a defense featuring Will Witherspoon? Dude is known, above anything else, for completely pwning screen passes.

'Spoon was killing everything. O Line not allowing down-field throws. WTF happened??

How bout this:

These guys are highly paid professional atheletes and coaches!

There should be no hang overs from previous game losses or bye weeks!

They should show up - fired up to play every time they walk on the field!

There is no excuse for lack of preparation or discipline!

You can't "mail in" the effort... coaching or playing!

if for no other reason than....

They are highly paid professional atheletes and coaches!

This could be the best post of yours I have read and completely agree. I feel like the throws he made leaning back was a mental thing. The titans got so much pressure I don't think cam was fully there mentally. That is something that hopefully will come with experience, he seems like a guy who will eventually be able to keep it cool when everything in a game is going wrong.

    • Yards a game works better over a longer period of time as well. Averages always work out over the long run. The smaller the sample size the easier it is to skew. Also opponents matter more when the size is small. Player 1 lights up 2 bad defenses in 4 starts vs Player 2 playing 10 games vs multiple defenses. It hard to make it apples to apples how it currently sits. Remember during Bryce’s little run last year how annoyed you were when people were pulling Bryce’s starts from week 9 on vs the whole season.
    • Someone else claimed I said EVERY.  Literally in my post breaking it down it gave Bryce TDs per game.   Shough however has the majority in his favor if just looking at starts. whats subjective about comp %, yards, QB ratings and turnovers?  Now I guess the argument one might make off them could be subjective.  But all I’m saying is statistically as a starter he has been better this year overall.  I don’t think Shough is great.  I think he is impressive based on the situation.  2nd rounder stepping in on a bad team.   And he like so many other QBs…..serves as little red flag going off about what we are doing here offensively.
    • Player A - 2 starts.  200 yards in each start. He averages 200 yards a game.  Player B - 1 start.  Throws for 400 yards.  Comes in another random game and has 1 pass attempt on a Hail Mary to end the game that goes incomplete.   Now given the random game he appeared for a snap, he averages 200 yards a game. Thats why you isolate starts. If you are talking starter vs someone who began as a backup.  Simple made up numbers/situations to illustrate the point.
