our problem is coaching. Denver is winning games while we focus on developing Cam. They are actually going with a game plan thats working for them while ours is falling short week after week. Enough of pointing at players, I'm pointing at RR. Maybe the reason it took him so long to be a Head Coach is that he can't coach. If Fox can win in Denver with The Golden Calf of Bristol, we should be able to win with Cam. Granted I also think that Denver's defense is better than ours right now. Which still forces me to point at RR, a defensive coach from the Chargers and Dermontt, a defensive coach from the Eagles. And if I spelled his name wrong, o well, you get my point. This is fustrating as hell. We're good, actually good. We've probably got the best offense that I ever remember us having and we can't win.

i think your an upstanding individual on this message board, and your opinion really matters to us true fans and I speak for all of us when we say thank you for your insight, wisdom and your kind words.

I am please with Chuds scheme but the execution and penalties are killing us.

I am very disappointed in our defense. Meeks did a better job with crappy tackles than this. I just get the feeling that the coaches are not commited to the 4-3 defense or to make it work.Something is wrong when you do nothing to stop the run.How can you have a coach that had one the better defenses in the league as your head coach and make very few changes from week to week to improve our run defense. Something does not make sense

I doesnt make sense you don't realize there simply isn't the talent on D....

I mean the Colts don't have a QB right now.....doesn't matter what the coaches do in Indy....They are in hole on offense only a change in talent fixes

again, you simply selective choose to ignore that the D and ST are what matters.

Denver's entire offensive gameplan relies soley on the fact they have a D and ST. Our gameplan relies on the fact we have no D or ST.

I'm not ignoring anything I'm simply commenting on Rivera coaching. But yes you are right, we have very little D and virtually no ST. But again, better coaching should be able to supplement that. Maybe trying to control the ball/clock more when Cam's on the field. Instead of throwing the ball 20+ yards, try 5 yrds then a run, if the pass was complete, at best we'd be 3rd and 5 since Rivera offense hasn't shown the ability to run the ball after paying D Will a truckload of money.

If Caldwell would step down, that would go a long way for the Colts.

Doesn't chang3 the fact his current roster is built for Peyton Manning to be on the field.

long term yes.....but that team is screwed this year regardless

doesn't matter that we lost 2 of our starting LBs, both of which were the biggest leaders on the team, so we are stuck with backups. the LBs aren't getting the job done so that must mean the LB coach sucks.

Every team has injuries, maybe except Green Bay. But I'm tired of that excuse every year. New coaching staff, new ideas, new gameplan has yeilded the same results. Coaching = Mindsets, Better Coaching = Better Mindsets.

and you also are forgetting Stew's success compared to DWill, yet Rivera sucks? make some f**king sense before you post....

      I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
