Does anyone know why Peppers won't sign his tender?

FACT: Julius Peppers has not signed his $16.68 million tender offer.

FACT: Peppers does not want to play with the Panthers next year.

FACT: We cannot trade Peppers until he signs his tender nor can we discuss with any other teams the possibility of trading him.

FACT: Peppers said in early January about the Panthers, "I don’t want to leave them crippled or in a bad situation."

So Peppers wants out, but we can't do anything about that until he signs his tender. He refuses to do so.

CONCLUSION: Julius Peppers is a lying bitch that apparently DOES want to cripple the Panthers.

FACT: Pep and his agent want to have COMPLETE control over where he ends up, and he loses that the day he signs...

I believe you are a very bitter person...

FACT: Julius Peppers has not signed his $16.68 million tender offer.

True.

FACT: Peppers does not want to play with the Panthers next year.

Not completely true.

FACT: We cannot trade Peppers until he signs his tender nor can we discuss with any other teams the possibility of trading him.

We can't... His agent can speak to anyone he likes.

FACT: Peppers said in early January about the Panthers, "I don’t want to leave them crippled or in a bad situation."

...and he doesn't...

So Peppers wants out, but we can't do anything about that until he signs his tender. He refuses to do so.

You don't know any more than anyone besides Julius what he exactly wants. Who said we WOULD do something about it once he signs his tender?

CONCLUSION: Julius Peppers is a lying bitch that apparently DOES want to cripple the Panthers.

You couldn't be further from the truth, and I guarantee you you wouldn't say that to his face.

Julius will either be a Panther next season or he won't... Move along.. There are more interesting things to discuss... You are letting this define the offseason..

NO, but his agent can shop Peppers all he wants, which validates the other poster's point.

But by not getting a deal done, they are crippling the team. The team can't adequately prepare for the draft because they don't know if Peppers will be gone for certain, what extra picks they may or may not get in a Peppers trade. They also have zero cap room until they move Peppers.

They prepare for every draft the same, by scouting every single player that has a chance of being drafted. Take that pool and knock it down to players you like and where you would take said player at. It doesn't matter where you drafting at, that can all change. They can make a move and trade peppers or they can decide not to do so and it wouldn't affect the way they prepare for the draft. They are still scouting first round talent, Do we have a first round pick??????

No we don't at the moment.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
