Not a face mask in the NFL?

Kevin Greene

Mike Pereira explained that once his helmet starts to become dislodged, defenders are allowed to grab the face mask. And since he is the former head of officiating, he should know the rules.

Yep....adding to that Cam is viewed as a RB in that situation. RBs don't get bs calls like that

Looked like the defender was going for his head to me, which is the issue I find, not the fact that the helmet became dislodged or the facemask was touched.

Cam isn't a QB at that point. Defenders can hit and grab a RB's head.

The guy obviously grabbed his helmet intentionally, and threw it. That should be a 15 penalty no matter what. Regardless if the helmet was dislodged or whatever you know-it-alls were saying. It is unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct. Personal foul 15 yards. It was a penalty and to say it wasn't is stupid.

Yeah, the former head of officiating even says it's not penalty. Forget rules, they should throw a flag and make up their own rules.

Point was and is if it was Brady you'd have flags come in from 3 directions. That's all I want. :D

I hate Tom Brady, but I'm not sure if this is true. He doesn't scramble too often and that has to be taken into account. When running is part of your game (Newton, Vick, The Golden Calf of Bristol) you're not gonna get as many of those calls.
