As good as it sounds, no way. Just no way. Could we win out? Yeah, we actually could..but the only issue is that I see Detroit winning out as well and grabbing a wild card. Look at their schedule:

vs. Minnesota

@ Oakland

vs. San Diego

@ Green Bay (If they are 15-0, then its a loss. If not, they'll rest their starters.)

With our defensive play in the last two games, especially yesterday against Blount, I think it is entirely possible for us to win out.

But, IIRC the other half of the equation is Detroit and Chicago have to lose out. That's the part I don't see happening.

Detroit and Chicago don't BOTH have to lose out IIRC. Only one of them has to lose out, and NYG can't win more than one game. Atlanta has to lose out. Arizona has to lose two games, and Philly/Seattle have to lose once.

I'm not sure about tiebreakers, I just know a lot of stuff out of our control has to happen.

Yeah, you're right...

And yeah, that is a lot of things that would have to happen for us to make it, and I don't think it's likely. Then again, the optimist in me remembers how everyone wrote Seattle off last year too... Our division doesn't suck like theirs did, but it still offers a glimmer of hope.

Time to go throw $250 on the Panthers winning the Super Bowl like that Cardinals(baseball) fan did when the Cardinals had a <1% chance to make the playoffs.

Making the playoffs is a pipedream, but we have doubled the win total from last year. This is like playing with house money, any more wins are just a bonus. I could see us winning maybe 2 more. At 6-10 I think we will have met most reasonable fans expectations at the beginning of the year.

If we somehow get to face Johnson again and Chase Daniels, our 6 wins will be less impressive than Tampa's 10 wins last year, which is a very tough feat. :lol:

I have definitely tempered my expectations to that 6 win level. But, I think we are capable of finishing .500... But, first priority in my mind right now is making the Falcons pay for that embarrassment in the Georgia Dome earlier in the season. I would love to return the favor at home and kill their playoff chances.

I hate them. Would also love to pull a similar about-face on the Aint's as well and ruin their hopes of getting anything higher than the 3 seed.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
