Cam vs Tim

Fox is out coaching Rivera and thats the truth... he is doing more with less...

Maybe on offense, BUT on defense Fox has MORE talent than River does. Fox has DJ Williams, Champ Bailey, Brodrick Bunkley isnt bad, Marcus Thomas is playing well, they have Von Miller and Elvis Dummerville too. compare that to us, Gamble isnt awful, but he's no Champ. we have Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy, but i think Dummerville and Miller combined are better than what we have and CLEARLY their DTs are better, plus they have another vet. at safety in Dawkins.

both Panthers and Denver had very bad defense, ours still sucks and Denver's is now in the top 10 i believe.. Fox is winning with a QB who cannot consistantly throw.. Cam will pass Manning's rookie passing record and cant win

Fox > Rivera

ummm their defense is like filled with vets, von miller and it still ranks no where near the top ten in yards, points or even on football outsiders. They make plays because they play in a poo division and in the other games they're going against backup QBs who have no business starting (e.g. Caleb Hanie), project QBs (Christian Ponder) or perpetually inconsistent mediocre passers (Sanchez, Cassel). Their only game they faced a good QB with The Golden Calf of Bristol was with Detroit and they got destroyed. I don't even count Rivers because he's been the butt end of defensive highlights the entire season. Before The Golden Calf of Bristol started, Rodgers had a career day, and you'll see just how much The Golden Calf of Bristol magic the Patriots let happen next week when Denver actually has to face the first healthy, consistent, and winning team since like week 8.

we all saw what happened when Fox had to coach a team with a lot of young players, like Rivera is tasked with doing now.

My honest opinion... put Cam on the broncos and he's not in that situation because they are comfortably ahead most weeks... Put The Golden Calf of Bristol with us this year and he is not going to have the oppotunities to make those late 4th quarter drives...

IMO 10 years down the road when we look back at these QB's The Golden Calf of Bristol will be no where in the discussion with CAM.

So for a franchise QB Cam >>>>>> Tim...

Now if you want to argue last minute pressure situations only, I can concede that and only that to tim right now.

Who has Denver beaten ? The Bears lost at home to KC last week. No Culter or Forte.

i know that, BUT the point i am making is that even Fox with his good coaching couldnt make this Panthers defense decent. you got to have decent DTs to stop the run, that's the biggest issue with Carolina, plus we dont have a cornerback like Champ on our team. Fox is a great addition to Denver, no doubt, but i am happy with Rivera as the head coach, he just needs better talent, mainly at DT and CB.

cam's got FIVE pro-bowlers on that offense...including three pro-bowl targets (smith, shockey, olsen) and a pro-bowl running back (williams). last year they only had williams and smith, there was a serious upgrade in talent that let's be honest, my friend's sister should have good stats QBing that team. (and she'd prob have as many wins as cam)

you're SO talent heavy in fact, that you'll be way over the salary cap next year and have to jettison some people, prob shockey for sure and some others.

look if cam can't win with THAT group, he's never gonna be a winner.

dalton has more wins with less to work with. shoot, look at The Golden Calf of Bristol...any pro-bowlers on our offense? nope.

but yeah, cam gets all the credit for....i guess those 4 wins....interesting though that after the first few games of the season, he hasn't had a huge game...because defenses have figure out how to play him.

(and if you want to point to cam's stats, well, The Golden Calf of Bristol actually has a better passer rating than cam....)

People need to get off The Golden Calf of Bristol's back. The guy was 12/14 to end the game and is much more clutch than Cam is. No I would not choose The Golden Calf of Bristol over Cam, but The Golden Calf of Bristol is a legitimately fantastic game manager and 4th quarter quarterback. He's like Super Jake Delhomme. The question is not ridiculous.

Agreed. but this thread needs to be ridiculed.

Would u trade Cam for The Golden Calf of Bristol if it ment winning in the broncos fashion?
Winning in the Bronco's fashion requires: great special teams and great defense.

Therefore the trade must also must include:

The Golden Calf of Bristol + Denver's RT

Specials

Matt Prater

Denver's Punter

Defense:

Champ Bailey

Wesley Woodyard

Elvis Dummerville

Von Miller

people keep saying the SAME Thing. "Look at what Cam has on offense" but fail to ask, "look at what Cam has on defense." why is that???? and your Andy Dalton line is just funny. Dalton has Jermaine Gresham (young pass catching TE), AJ Green (rookie WR with a ton of promise), Simpson (young WR who came on strong last year when Owens and Ochocinco were hurt and is now turning into a great 2nd WR), Cedric Benson and Andre Caldwell (a good 3rd WR) and that's not to mention that Jordan Shipley is on IR, those WRs are better than Cam's WRs and i havent even gotten into what Dalton has on defense. NOW i agree that The Golden Calf of Bristol doesnt have much talent on offense, BUT on defense, he has a ton of talent there.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
