What scares me most about post-2011 season and beyond?

I heard Marty on 1110AM while driving home after the game. He was almost giddy about the first half performance, as was everybody at the stadium was for good reason. Here is my concern. I think Marty Hurney looks at this team and thinks we are set at d-line. I think he looks at this team and thinks we are set at CB and safety. I have a sick feeling that Marty will look back at this season and point the blame at injuries and lack of an offseason. I think Hurney will look at Armanti's one 30 yard punt return this season and see potential. I think he is the type of guy that will view the first half tape of all our games and think we are set at many positions that need an upgrade. I do not have much confidence in Marty to see our depth, defense and special teams for what they are. I think our flashes will make Marty overlook some of our needs.

What is it with people and Marty Hurney? I've said it before, I'll say it again: he's one of the better GMs in the business, easily, when you consider the fact that every GM in the league has some bad misses. The Patriots blew it on two entire drafts, people.

Furthermore, Rivera will have a very large say in who we pick up or draft, as Hurney is one of the few GMs that actually works in tandem with his coach rather than going his own way.

We'll be fine.

Pretty sure our coaches will tell them exactly which players suck and need to ride the pine next year, thus needing an upgrade.

Captain, all of our DTs, Armanti, etc should not see an NFL field anymore.

Damn Captain looked bad.

But I think Marty stands pat at DT.

There will be a pretty proportional turnaround as far as the players on this team go.

I'd put everything I own on that fact. Rivera won't put up with this poo!

Disagree with me all you want TRD, for the most part you just like stirring the pot for no reason anyways.

After seeing his mist recent interviews, I have the utmost confidence that Rivera will do what needs to be done. One way or another

I sure as hell hope he listens to Rivera's needs. The recent influx of San Diego outcasts seems to point towards that.

I honestly believe that Rivera and Mr. Richardson have a "behind closed doors" agreement, that excludes Hurney... Maybe I'm wrong, but I just feel that it's the case.

Rivera knows the issues.....Rivera will make sure Hurney doesn't foolishly believe this DL is set.

Hurney isn't dumb either....he doesn't look at the rookie DT play or watch our #2 CB get picked on all game and think things are great.

Rivera CLEARLY knows the flaws of this team....he is a lot more upfront about what he sees each Sunday. Marty won't be able to live in la la land.

Marty did what Rivera wanted on O this year.....next year I fully expect him to follow suit and do the D next season the same way.

    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
