Okay dumb question time. What would actually be the consequence if he stepped foot on the court and practiced/played for the Bobcats while this contract from another league on the other side of the world is being worked out?

castration. Well it depends where his current contract is.

Well NBA is a private league so they are not under FIBA rules. Thus they cannot suspend him or anything, but my guess is Fuenlabrada will be come after both Bobcats, Byombo and the NBA. I doubt NBA and FIBA wants to begin a conflict over this so NBA will want their teams to respect contract made under FIBA regi.

That is my guess. Nothing more.

It was ruled today that Biyombo would not be allowed to leave his Spanish team this season and that he will not be able to play in the NBA this season.

Not a big deal. Let him develop more and it will be like having another draft pick coming in next year. Whatevs

I'm not sure if that source is reliable..his court date isn't until the 19th...this may be true but I'm holding out hope until then. His contract does have a buyout in it..though the cats can do anything to pay it. But, he should be be able to find someone to loan him what he doesn't have..because he could pay that off in a season or two with the cats...I hope the source is inaccurate.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
