Why is it when you set an appointment on the calendar, everyone chooses to send a response when they accept it?

Because it defaults to "send response" and then you would have to click on the"don't send a response" and that takes effort.

But why send an appointment out to people saying you are going to be unavailable for a certain time frame? Couldn't you just add the appointment to your own calendar so people will know that you are unavailable? It doesn't make sense to me...is that some sort of weird office rule?

We don't have access to each other's calendars. In order for them to see something on mine, I have to invite them to the event to put it on theirs.

Only person's calendar I have access to is my boss' b/c I manage his schedule.

I'd like to add to this a gem from today. This woman just went on a twenty minute rant because we are out of the Chai Tea for our Keurig machine. This is not cool. Twenty minutes, no joke. I'm sorry that your life is over because you don't have FREE Chai Tea today, but if it's that big of a deal perhaps you remember that our office is literally 70 feet away from a Noah's Bagels & Starbucks? Heaven forbid you go buy the drink yourself.

I fugin hate listening to this lady on the phone. I usually just try and put on wfnz to drown her out, but then she complains about how "loud" it is and she can't hear. I tell her its only b/c I'm trying to drown out the poo music she listens to in her office.

She is one who is always talking, never listening, just waiting to speak again.

She says "I said" about 40 times per phone conversation. Then feels the need to update my boss on every fuging single conversation she has with her clients, further wasting his time.

Ex:

I just talked to her and I said, I said, I told her, I just said, I said she should just email me back, and she said, so I said, I said.

Then when she can't get her phrase in because the person won't let her cut them off on the phone (yes, she's one of those, you don't get to finish, she just immediately cuts you off mid-sentence)

ex:

She wants to cut in and say Well, see those employees will be ineligible, but can't seem to wait until the person on the other end is done talking.
