Aaron Rodgers can't close out games.

There are four The Golden Calf of Bristol topics in the first quarter of the first page, all driven by people complaining about how tired they are of hearing about The Golden Calf of Bristol, each one so stupidly similar that you cannot begin to tell them apart.

I had hoped this thread would begin to focus on the similarities between the Panthers and '08 Packers and would create for good discussion.

Did you know one of those teams that really good Packers offense lost to that year was us?

That was the game where Julius rocked Aaron Rodgers on a scramble.

It was the game where Steve had one of the catches of the decade, catching the ball over his head, bringing it in to take us deep in Green Bay territory to help win us the game.

Yes, we were one of those teams that the Packers barely lost to, which contributes to the similarities.

Did you know DeAngelo had four rushing touchdowns that game? That that was the last time that happened in NFL history-a RB running for that many TD's in a single game?

So many things worthy of discussion other than the same stupid arguments that plague the Huddle.

In other news-I'm a freakin Panthers historian.

Well, I totally agree with the article and your commentary.

See. That is boring. Wouldn't you rather see competing dissertations with graphs, YPP, points per drive, etc.??? :p

I don't know anybody who wants see cam fail.

I love the kid, his ability, his talant, how difficult he is to defend.

Is sad we can't talk about what cam must work on and improve upon, without others saying wekre asking for perfection, or blaming the defense.

The poo gets old.

cam is a hell of a qb..i just wish he played his best in the 4th quarter, instead earlier in games.

But i guess i'm asking for perfection.

/rant off

Cam, barring serious injury, will develop into a total monster in very short order. The INTs will drop significantly next season when Chud implements Double Trouble more, to get the box stacked so Cam can easily exploit opposing secondaries with less risk/less forcing it into double coverage. I'm taking a wild guess and assuming that's his plan.

That's what I would do, anyways. But I'm just a huddler. What do I know?

Sure this team has lost close games, and so did the packers in 2008. Does this mean the we're destined to win the Superbowl in 2014? No, but it does mean that teams have struggled to win before they went to another level, which means that we can get better from where we are, and we can reach that level with Cam.

So there. I'm like 8 drinks in and I can still spell better than pantherclaw.
