Aaron Rodgers can't close out games.

Well said...And I must add, I love Aaron Rodgers. There is just something about him.

Anyway, there were two QBs in the draft vying for the chance to get off the draft board first. One was herald as the most "intelligent and NFL ready QB" between the two. The other was labeled a "high risk" and a project at best. One charmed his way into not doing much more than letting the media hype his talents and riding the wave. The other was forced to prove himself constantly. One got draft pick based solely on an interview at the Combine. The other had more try-outs and interviews and was more investigated than a person vying for an FBI job. In the end, up to this point, which team do you believe made the right choice?

Unfortunately, a lot of Panthers fans don't seem satisfied with Cam for whatever reason. From the preseason until today, you still see fit to go on and on endlessly about what Cam isn't doing right, when the mistakes he makes are no different that even the vet QBs. While the other QB, who was ranked at the top of the draft board with Cam, has had more excuses made for his inability to even stand vertical.

I simply don't get the constant comparison to other QBs and the endless threads over Ints. or whatever many of you want to preceive is wrong with Cam. If you actually look at the tape, every rookie QB, who has started and played a few games, have double-digits Ints. Why the endless ranting over Cam's? I could understand if Cam was 16 and everyone else were low single digits. But, Dalton, 12 or 13, Ponder 11, Blaine 10. The only rookie QB who isn't in that class is Jake and that's because he just had his first semi-full game last week.

So, seriously what gives with some of you? Why the endless nitpicking and demanding attitude towards a kid who has gone above and beyond what's expected as a rookie QB.

Now that you guys have had a chance to see the top rooke QBs in action, do you really still feel the Panthers need to be overly concerned about the decision they made in picking Cam over the others?

Sure this team has lost close games, and so did the packers in 2008. Does this mean the we're destined to win the Superbowl in 2014? No, but it does mean that teams have struggled to win before they went to another level, which means that we can get better from where we are, and we can reach that level with Cam.

So there. I'm like 8 drinks in and I can still spell better than pantherclaw.

Honestly, this team is better than they are given credit for, even thou they are getting a lot of positive feedback of late. The writing is in black and white, only a 1/3 of this team is functioning as a team.

IOM, in order for this team to have a chance at a Superbowl and I don't see why not, you need a defense who believe in themselves, even when they are short staffed and a secondary team who understand that Sunday is work day. Depending solely on your offense to take you to the Superbowl is not happening. Your division is way to strong for you to believe you can offensively play your way into a divisional title, nevermind a run for the Superbowl.

In all honesty if it weren't for some of those threads you are so upset about this place would only have NFL Blitz rosters, caption this pic, and who we almost drafted threads.

It may be pooty and annoying but it drives conversation.

I know you are a Panthers fan, I mean no offense by my comments below.

At this point, there are posters on this board that it is simply better to ignore in my opinion as seemingly they cannot be banned.

They say the same things over and over again or bait the same discussions over and over again. No matter how the conversation starts, no matter the topic, we all know how it will end.

I made up my mind with the re-rearing of a couple of these posters to not engage anymore and many of the really good posters who used to be here don't post anymore and that really is unfortunate.

Simply put, stop feeding the trolls.

If not, what is going to happen is there will be no more conversation on this board but those same tiring, passive agressive, discussions and you will find yourself talking only to yourselves.

I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of teams who lost close games one season and continued to suck the next.

Or teams like Tampa Bay who were "on the rise" under a promising young QB one year and were back to being doormats the next season. There are obviously examples of both success and failure with teams who were trying to rebuild and we don't know yet how the Panthers will turn out. We all hope that we end up like the Packers or the Cowboys of the 1990s under Aikman but only time will tell. I am not extremely confident that Hurney/Rivera will make the right moves to get us where we need to be.

Don't take this the wrong way but I will respond to whatever posts and whichever poster I choose. Especially those that have a knack for calling me out by name.

If certain good posters don't post anymore because of a small handful of trolls then that is on them.

The second most annoying poster behind the trolls are the thread police. Not talking about you raleigh-panther, just in general terms

Not trying to police you.

Free country and a free forum to a certain extent which is why I am taking my leave for awhile. Some posters on here have gone way way beyond the effort of million dollar atheletes playing a game we enjoy.

Like many before me, when I see threads that are 100+ in posts and the same two or three people make up 85% of that 100, there is something wrong with the topic or the posters.

Good luck to you and I hope you can enjoy the holiday season.
