Bobcats forum??

BTW the Bobcats will gain thousands of fans overnight the day they change their name from the Charlotte Bobcats to the Carolina Bobcats. Suddenly all of North and South Carolina feel like a part of the team. Richardson was a genius in that regard.

Simple fix. Tell MJ plz

True, but teams like the steelers, skins, pack travel well that's part of it. Those people are also fans who didn't want to change allegiance when the team came. Not like the Heat have some great tradition, these people probably jumped on a year and a half ago.

Reclaiming the Hornets name would be better.

Carolina Hornets. I like it. I think they need to get the rest of the state in the fold. I am in Raleigh and although I pull for the Bobcats I feel like no one has the feeling they represent us the way the Panthers do.

Agree, getting them on TV up there would help too. From friends who go up to school in the triangle it's hard to get the Cats game as opposed to easily getting the Canes games here in the QC.

No poo. I have DirectTv so I don't get the Cats games at all here in Raleigh. TWC has the games I think.

Not only that but Direct TV also blocks the games if you get the league pass. There is literally no way to watch a Cats game if you have Direct TV. It is bullpoo.

The NBA, moreso than any other professional sport, is built on the names of the players, not the teams. NBA fans don't say they're a fan of the Heat, they're a fan of LeBron, Wade, Paul, Griffin, etc. and follow the team that their player is on.

This is why Charlotte will always have split crowds when teams with "name" players come to town. It's easily that way for 2/3 of the league's teams.

Charlotte gets flack for being a bandwagon city, but they proved tonight that if you give them a reason to watch (Cam, taking the Heat to the wire, etc.) they will show up.

      The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)

      I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
