Whitney Mercilus, D.E.? Had 16 sacks, I've been focusing mostly on corners so far so I really don't know yet, but Im getting ready to turn my attention to D-line.

Nick Perry or Courtney Upshaw are the most talented and naturally gifted pass rushers in the draft.

WM would be the best fit for us, although he is a bit undersized for a 4-3 DE. Upshaw and Perry are 3-4 players for the most part.

I should add, not at #9, however.

Whitney is a 1 year wonder being that most of his sacks came this year, not to take away from him. il like to add Coples to the list as well as Vinny Curry, Bruce Irvin, Brandon Lindsey. if i had to choose one it would be Coples.

i agree, i dont want Still any more in the 1st. i think Worthy, Coples, Cox, and Thompson are better DT prospects.

Coples as a DT--I have not thought beyond DE, but you are correct.

yeah some say he does not have the speed to stay on the outside and he is 285 pounds. he could bulk up if needed, and he is the ideal 3tech in my eyes. remember he played there last year when Quinn and Austin were suspended.

Not sure about Coples as a dt, really. St. Louis tried that with Adam Carriker a couple years ago, not sure it worked out that well, but it could work with the right guy.

There have been a lot of one year wonders in Div. 1 college football that have turned out just fine in the pros, most recently our QB and Jason Pierre-Paul. Coples is the most well known prospect around here, so its understandable the love he gets.

i was not stating as if it was a problem, to add another Nick Fairley was a one year wonder. plus all those guys were jc transfers, not sure if Whitney was our not.
