What we should do

God

Recommended Posts

1. Get #1 pick. (With our luck it will be the #4 pick)

2. Assuming we get the #1, trade it to NOR for their 2 first rounders. (Should both be lottery).

3. Let NOR take Anthony Davis (not going to be a franchise player; marcus camby at best).

4. We take either Drummond/Barnes with the top 3 pick, then someone like MKG/Rivers/Jones.

Should give us a good core with some star potential. Knowing us though we will get #1 and not trade it and just take Davis which will make me sad.

If got Andre Drummond and MKG our starting lineup would be fearsome defensively

Kemba

Hendo

MKG

Tyrus

Drummond

I'm liking this more and more. Their second pick I think is from Minnesota..so we need to make this trade and then have the t'wolves tank.

I love the idea but for me its a dream scenario. Lets be honest the Hornets need talent as well. So they would just as soon keep the two great players. Look at who they have

Eric Gordon - keeper

Jarrett Jack - reserve

Carl Landry - Hustle player solid starter or key reserve

Trevor Ariza - See Carl Landry

Emeka Okafor - We all know who he is

They definitely would need those two picks just as much as we do. But I do know one thing is for certain. IF the bobcats do get the #1, everyone will be pissed at MJ for not pulling the trigger on this trade even though it is not realistic. But I would gladly eat crow if we can pull this off.

I highly doubt Barnes will come out next year, or he would have done it this year.

And honestly there is no real super star franchise player we could get with the 1st pick honestly.... there are a handful of star players if we can get enough of them maybe we can make something happen.

    • If only those guys grew on trees? The 2015 team was really special.  That was such an incredible year until the Super Bowl. What happened was the owner let the football people handle football decisions.  We had a front office that made some really good decisions.  Just hit on FAs and draft picks at a high level.  Those guys became GREAT players.  Our head coach held the team to a standard, but allowed them to be themselves.  That let so many of those guys grow into vocal leaders and tone setters.  Then we had Cam play lights out for the entire year.  We had a defense led by Luke, one of the best to ever play.  We had guys like Greg and TD who were so smart and tenacious. That was a special team.  The biggest question is how do we bring that back?  We don't because we can't.  Instead, we need to build up the team again.  Bryce is not Cam, duh.  Maybe he's not even the guy next season.  But there are some dudes like DB, Horn, Chubba who are all high character, effort productive players. As team, they need to lean into what they do well, and give Bryce his opportunities to prove himself.  If not, you keep building the best team and work on that QB.

"He was really frustrated, just like I was," head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday. "We talked about the challenge ahead to get ready for the Los Angeles Chargers, and that was really the extent of it." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25257873-mike-mcdaniel-admits-dolphins-owner-was-really-frustrated-after-loss-panthers
