I took both my cat & doxie to the vet this morning. $200!

I agree all animals should be treated with dignity whether they get eaten to not. I agree breeders should have to meet certain standards and have a rating system. I think we should treat others as we would want to be treated and by others I mean all living things. I believe people should be held responsible for their actions.

They were moved to Charlotte Humane Society, Raleigh and Greensboro.

This evening at approximately 9:15 p.m., HSC staff returned from Stokes County where we assisted in a puppy mill rescue. We are now the temporary home to 34 dogs that no longer have to live in the conditions that they were in. They will now know what it is like to have someone groom them, feed them proper / healthy food and give them the medical attention that many of them require.

We wanted to share this with you so you were aware and would know what the next step is. We will be evaluating their medical needs first; we will then groom them and our foster families will be contacted to help. The most important thing for us right now are donations - both monetary for our HAVE A HEART Medical Fund and items like puppy pads, new towels, canned purina one dog food and large zip lock bags. We will update you each day on the dogs progress and they will not be available for adoption no sooner than two weeks.
