Texans: $4.7 million over.

Panthers: $5.3 million over.

Raiders: $7.4 million over.

Lions: $11.5 million over.

Cardinals: $16.4 million over.

There you go. We're officially 5.3m over. That's really not that bad. All we need to do is restructure Thomas Davis and one other, and we'll be good.

$5m is not bad at all.

We can restructure few contracts, sign Smitty and Gamble to a new deals and we will be $20m under.

Can I say Super Man Mario Williams????? That would be sick if we could get him, I forget where I seen it, but I read an article about Mario saying he wouldn't mind playing for us.

How the fug can a team completely purged during the 2010 NFL season going 2-14, finish 6-10 during the 2011 season be in a worse Cap situation than the Super Bowl Champion Giants? The Giants opponents in the Super Bowl with an extremely well paid QB are 16 million plus under the cap.

The Panthers are also the same team to be the first to enjoy a post Rookie Cap #1 pick.

Cap room can be super manipulated. Someone who projected to make $15m in 2012 can be signed on new contract. You can give em signing bonus of $8, make em count $5 million against the cap and install lots of easy achievable incentives which can increase this base $5 to $10 millions. So this player only accounted $5m against cap but end up earning $18m. Win - Win for the team and a player.

The cap space figures we posted are based on the base cap of $120.6 plus any carryover, adjustments, franchise tenders, RFA tenders.

That does include the savings from last year.

Because it's the nfl salary cap, and it's all pretty fungible.

Giants barely squeaked into the playoffs (leave it to chance), and they have not really signed any big names, or even their own guys.

The Pat's, most top tier FA looking for a ring would take a ridiculous pay cut to play in hopes of winning a SB with them, but fail to realize Pats are 3-0 during spy gate, and 0-2 after.

      Doubling tripling and quadrupling down on this subject in defense of the pick is reminiscent of a certain mindset that has overtaken the political world. This conversation will become less contentious and dragged out to the point of becoming a dead beaten horse if rational minds can simply agree that we made a mistake missed on a potential franchise center and we will learn from it. All this coping is unnecessary.

      Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle. Also, “flashed his talent” isn’t 9 carries for 22 yards. His one reception for 18 yards isn’t a flash with 11 other touches for 27 yards. He hasn’t proven anything. We have no idea if he’ll contribute in 2026.

      Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
