Updated Mock Draft/offseason W/trade

My previous updated mock draft was pretty unrealistic. I'm still going to include a trade in this mock, just one that actually has a chance of happening. So, Cincinnati needs Richardson, San Diego needs Reiff/DeCastro/Ingram, and the Jets need someone like Floyd/Richardson/Ingram. One of those teams will more than likely be looking to trade up to grab a player they need. I'm going to go ahead and post a full first round based on if we trade with one of those teams.

Round 1 (31st pick from Patriots) - Josh Robinson, CB, UCF

-Possibly could slot Janoris Jenkins or Stephon Gilmore here, but I have a gut feeling they will be gone by this pick. IMO we get the better of the three. Robinson played 95% man coverage at Central Florida.

Better of the 3? He might be a nice consolation prize but I am not sure I'd go that far. Haven't watched a down of Robinson and I highly doubt you have so I am not sure how you could say that with much confidence.

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
