Would you trade for Glenn Dorsey?

Rumor has it that the Chiefs are looking to move last years top 5 pick DT Glenn Dorsey. The move apparently has nothing too do with Dorsey's health or play, it's just that under new management this year the Chiefs are moving to a 3-4 Defense and Dorsey is a 4-3 DT. He's not big enough to play NT, but could be a great young addition to a 4-3 scheme such as ours :)

I dont know what it would take for us to get him, but i might even be inclined to give up next years first for this guy. Dorsey no doubt would have been a top 5 pick in this years draft, and could become a dominating guy on the D-line. KC is also looking to get a DE for their 3-4, someone versatile, i think we may be able to help em out ;)

Whatcha think?

Not gonna happen, 3-4 defense or not... KC didn't invest that high of a pick in him to just try to trade him off.. Once its made public over a rumour, then there might be a chance. I mean why don't we just say "Yo, lets try trade for Calvin Johnson since the Lions suck and are under new managment"...

It'd be a nice thought if you could snag him but its unlikely.

I read somewhere that the Falcons are going to land him for the 24 and 90 in this yr. draft. To tired to look for the link. I hope that they dont get him for that or any price. The NFC South is getting tougher by the day.

"3. The Falcons and Chiefs may not be done dealing. Per a league source, Pioli and fellow Atlanta GM Thomas Dimitroff (a former Patriots executive), may be looking to help each other out. Based on rumblings we're hearing from WFSM in Atlanta, the Chiefs and Falcons may still be working on a deal that could send defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey to Atlanta for the 24th overall and 90th overall selections."

I mentioned this trade before. i would take Dorsey and a 3rd next year for Peppers. Dorsey is unproven, and has an injury history. But if they low balled me and did player for player, i think i still would do it.

I'd do that as well...One of the best young 4-3 DTs in the league and an extra pick. I don't think Pep would petition that trade with Pioli and Cassell there now...But I doubt that they would give that much compensation for Peppers. I'd take it in a heartbeat though. I love Glenn Dorsey...

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
