Dual Qb System?

Will the Jets run a duel QB system? We see this in college football at times, where you have a mobile QB and a pocket QB sharing snaps on the field. I first heard this on First Take with one Skip Bayless. I thought it was an interesting thought. The funny thing is I can completely see it happening, which will probably lead to The Golden Calf of Bristol becoming the starter.

I know when people first heard of bringing The Golden Calf of Bristol in to run the wildcat option, they may be thinking of him coming in for a play. Yet the wildcat itself is mostly just a running play. Yet of course, The Golden Calf of Bristol is a QB. So it could be that Rex may let The Golden Calf of Bristol run a series of plays at points in the game, and I know that would kill Sanchez's confidence.

I as a Jet fan, will go out on a limb and say, The Golden Calf of Bristol never sees a blade of Met Life Stadium grass during the regular season as a QB, nevermind starting. All this media chanting to get rid of Sanchez is pathetic. Plus, we already seen this reality show in Denver last season.

As much as I respected Tim as a person, I personally feel that he, like many of the "media chosen" QBs, are making a complete mockery of this sport. If you can't earn your position as a QB like everyone else, then you need to sit your ass down and hold a clipnboard. This whole generating hate towards QBs to make it okay to slide Tim into a starting job he has yet to earn, is disgusting.

It's clear Denver had enough of the madness that is the media created The Golden Calf of Bristol circus because, instead of holding onto him and using him as a back up for Peyton, due to Peyton's situation and age, they quickly shipped him out of there in less than 24 hours. Sounds to me they were more than happy to get rid of him and his media circus of attention, No more dictating what the Broncos should do with Tim from the media.

Sadly, the Jets organization biggest nemisis are the SB winning Gaints. They both share the same stadium and the Giants have already blessed the new stadium with a SB win. So what the Jets do, they ran out and pick up the traveling media circus that is The Golden Calf of Bristol for attention. Yeah, he's going to "change the Jet's lockerroom" and make the Metlife Stadium the Jets Stadium...NOT

Way to stick it to the Gaints, Jets Organization.

Are you delusional? Almost everybody said The Golden Calf of Bristol wouldn't succeed at QB and needed to switch positions. How can you possibly call him a "media chosen QB"?

I guess I must be because all I keep hearing when I turn on my sports channel and local news is how great of a football player The Golden Calf of Bristol is. You are right, they never say QB, but still. I am like, how long has this kid been in the NFL? Like all of 2 years. He has only play in 11 games during those 2 years and he's already the "greatest football of all times." I kid you not, one of those entertainment sports show talking head said that. I don't remember his name. I was like, WTH...They were overkill last week.

Being a great football player and a "media chosen QB" are completely different things.

I believed I clarifed that when I said that, you're right, none of the folks in the media every called him a qb but he is a "media chosen QB" because they are ones pusing him as a starter QB when he can't earn the position on his own. That, IMO, is a QB who is more hype than reality. You're welcome to call him whatever you like. I call him a "media chosen" QB.. :)

Who besides Skip Bayless pushes him to be a starting QB?

That's what The Golden Calf of Bristol is -- a specialist, the world's most famous role player. There's nothing wrong with that.

Maybe he gets five or six snaps a game, tops, to do for the Jets what he did against them on that final, fateful drive in mid-November. And maybe those snaps are the difference between 8-8 and 10-6.

I guess not in any of the quotes you pulled out to defend your argument.

By the way, the psychology behind the The Golden Calf of Bristol Reality Show is very disturbing.

    • Watching Williams last night, guy has an arm and nfl ability  i see no future with Young.  either a player has nfl ability or they dont  cant survive on 20 or less points a game
    • Fowler: Bucs 23, Panthers 16. Baker Mayfield only won a single game when he was an unimpressive Carolina starter, but somehow he’s 5-0 when playing AGAINST the Panthers. For the Panthers to pull off this upset, they’ll need to score at least in the mid-20s. With Tampa Bay relatively healthy following a mini-bye (and Mike Evans’ return is huge), it feels like this will be too tough a task. Kaye: Bucs 24, Panthers 20. The win-loss-win-loss streak comes to an end. It’s hard to trust the play-calling following the loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers know what’s on the line, but they also knew last week, too. It’ll be close; I just have trouble trusting a positive outcome after a defeating one on the road. Zietlow: Panthers 38, Bucs 35. This prediction goes against conventional wisdom, but then again, conventional wisdom doesn’t seem to apply to these Panthers. This group, after all, has yet to lose back-to-back contests since Weeks 1 and 2. I think they win this one to make Week 18 interesting — and yes, that’s even with motivated Baker Mayfield and future Hall of Famer Mike Evans in good form. Why not?
    • Sam developed into a different player after he mostly sat for a year and learned a ton by being in that QB room under Shannahan in San Francisco.  Then he went to the Vikings who have a poo load of talent and another genius level offensive mind at HC in Kevin O Connel. I think they genuinely built up his confidence in a way he never did in New York or Charlotte.  He would not have been the same player if he stayed here IMO. Especially if he had been involved in that disaster season with Frank Reich in 2023, that might have cooked his confidence for good.  I guess you could argue we wouldn't have been that bad if we also kept cmc and dj i guess.
