Having lost my fair share of money listening to people talk about freemans potential and picking K state, I learned 1st hand how big of a bum he is. What a waste of an NFL body, I am telling yall this kid was a waste of a 1st round pick. I was soo happy the Bucs passed on Maclin for this turd

Yea, slap Carolina in last for butchering its draft again. I've been happy with the results, don't forget about Kellen Winslow for the 2nd round pick.

Yeah, you guys burned your one first day pick on a QB who could barely manage mediocre against bad college defenses in the Big 12. Guy has serious decision making and awareness issues, never showed the ability to put his team on his shoulders and carry them and was drafted high because of physical traits.. and you traded up to do it. He's also marked as a project that will need to sit 2 or 3 years before even attempting to take on a starting role. Three quarters of your message board is freaking out worse than we did over the Delhomme extension. Oh, and your defense, especially the line, is in a bad, bad way.

I promise you I'm not trying to piss in your cornflakes, and I'm no expert, but I hated this pick for you guys.

Panthers>Saints>Falcons>Bucs

I give the Panthers the top spot because they filled two of the big three needs. In Brown, they got an explosive pass rusher who may be the best of anyone in this draft at getting to the QB. They also got an excellent cover 2 CB that has all the skills to be a very solid starting corner.

The only reason I don't have NO up with the Panthers is that they only had one pick. But I think they made the perfect choice, and give them an A+.

The Falcons did ok in the first, but I am not sold on Peria. He is not overly strong and can get pushed around in run defense. Also, he is a pretty big injury risk with significant foot, ankle, and knee problems in just about every year he has played. I think he will end up spending as much time in the trainers room as on the field. As for Moore, he doesn't have great instincts, will struggle in coverage, and is somewhat of a tweener between LB and Safety.

Finally, for the bucs, I really do not think Freeman will ever develop into a top QB. At best, he'll be a serviceable starter, IMO. I think he has great physical skills, but I do not think he has the head to match. In fact, other than his physical attributes, I don't think he has any qualities that would indicate he can or will be a quality starter.

I suppouse his relationship with Raheem Morris will not help him grow into a passer either.

Freeman doesn't need to step in and do a Peyton Manning role (Peyton sucked his first few years anyway)...

Freeman still has a shot to be the starter, which people don't realize. The guy has better arm accuracy then what people give him credit for... his stats are comparable to Stafford's stats and Freeman had a weak suppourting cast.

Freeman was in no way a reach as the Vikings and the Broncos were both ready to pull the gun and Tampa had to give up a measley 6th round pick to secure him (compare that to the Panthers giving up another first rounder for a DE that obviously slipped for a good reason)

Round 3 is yet to come and Michael Johnson is still on the board and was slated to be the Bucs #1 pick on alot of draft boards... don't be too surprised if we land him.

Peria Jerry will get pushed around alot in the NFL and I don't see him ever being a top DT anyway, not to mention he's like 25 already?

The Saints did alright I thought, least they didn't go for more offense off the bat.

Saints > Bucs > Panthers > Falcons

I was least impressed with the Jerry pick as he was a reach anyway. Tampa is atleast taking a shot on a first round possible franchise QB and the guy looks to have great potential. I hear the guy can throw the ball accuratley down the field 60 yards without setting his feet and being on the run. Thats exactly the kind of guy I want (Ben Roethlisberger physical traits)

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
