Melvin Ingram....its Meant To Happen

I've never seen him play besides highlights, but my brother has and he says that whoever gets him is gonna be lucky. I've been hearing about how versatile he is and his high motor. If we go DL with our first pick, take him. You know he's gonna work. Seen that he's been working out with Von Miller too, so that's a plus. Anything else I need to know about this man Mr.JasonLuckyDog?

Don't know where he fits in the defense, not a true 4-3 end, maybe he can play OLB and then DE on third downs

Rivera is a guy that likes to give multiple looks/formations. A guy as versatile as Ingram would be a boon to our defense. He can rush the passer from pretty much any place you put him.

I'm definitely on the Melvin Ingram wagon. There isn't a player in this draft that is more versatile than that man. I mean, did you watch the tape? What didn't he do?

Ingram has the speed, awareness, and instinct to play rush linebacker.

Ingram has the strength, hand technique, and agility to play defensive end.

Ingram has the power, experience, and toughness to even line up at defensive tackle.

And like chknwing said, we have experienced in the 3-4 before and we could be making the permanent switch soon. He can do whatever you tell him to do, and excel at it.

At 276 lbs, I just don't see this guy anywhere near the DT position in the NFL. However, I do like what they could do with him off the edge rushing the passer. Would not be disappointed at all if he were our pick.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
