What Will Our Projected Cap-Space Be June 1St?

Keep Pounding

We should have 11 million after June 1st. What will we do with it? Nothing.

Someone who is more intelligent on the situation can clear me up on this but aren't we allowed to use most of that money next year if we decide not to use it?

Id like to see them continue to add depth and competition. Maybe extend stewart.

I was listening to the PFT with Hurney, and he mentioned wanting to sign Shockey and didn't want to trade Stewart, So I was thinking we would sign Shockey and maybe work something out for Stewart, but I really think that we will trade Stewart before or on draft day.

yeah, I think with the new CBA, teams can carry cap one year to the next year, as long as they notify the NFL front office.

There is still a lot of FA's out there that can be had for cheap who can contribute. WR Edwards(played with Chud), TE Shockey, TE Clark, TE Shiancoe, OT McNeil, OT McKenzie, OG Carey, DE Carter, DT Haynesworth(gasp), OLB Hill, OLB McIntosh, OLB Maybin, P McBriar. <--All great options for depth that can step in. Not to mention June 1st cuts.

Impossible, thread title is impossible to answer!

When we cut Travell Wharton, Hurney used a June 1st designation for Wharton's contract, that allowed us to split the cap hit for his contract overt 2 years, but if also freed up a lot of money, then we restructured TD, Greg Olsen and extended Steve Smith (who has a cap friendly 2012 contract), I was just wondering about what you guys thought we would and could do with the extra money...

    • So, based off the official depth chart, there are a few things I dont like on defense. Bobby Brown III as the backup, with Robinson starting over him,  and our smallest DL starting at NT. I dont like that neither of our 2nd rounder OLBs are starting, so I am hoping for heavy rotation there. Also, David Moore is our punt returner, WTF? Also, our primary backup RB as the KR when we have other capable players like Horn Jr and Trevor?  OFFENSE: WR: *Tetairoa McMillan* - Jalen Coker - *Jimmy Horn Jr.* TE: Tommy Tremble - #James Mitchell# LT: Ikem Ekwonu - Brady Christensen  LG: Damien Lewis - Chandler Zavala C - Austin Corbett - Cade Mays RG: Robert Hunt  RT: Taylor Moton - Yosh Nijman TE: Ja`Tavion Sanders - *Mitchell Evans* WR: Xavier Legette - Adam Thielen - David Moore - #Brycen Tremayne# QB: Bryce Young - Andy Dalton RB: Chuba Hubbard - #Rico Dowdle# - *Trevor Etienne* DEFENSE: LE: A`Shawn Robinson - #Bobby Brown III#  NT: #Tershawn Wharton# - *Cam Jackson* RE: Derrick Brown - Jaden Crumedy LOLB: #Patrick Jones II# - *Nic Scourton* - Thomas Incoom LILB: Trevin Wallace - (Bam Martin-Scott)  RILB: #Christian Rozeboom# - Claudin Cherrelus  ROLB: D.J. • A couple of these guys might take exception to that, but yea, I get what you’re saying.
