Russell Wilson On Gruden Qb Camp.

Could be a back up for Cam.

Obviously not as talented, but can run the offense. Also would be a sharp kid to have in the film room.

I still love him, I can't help it.

With that said, no way I take him before the 5th. I realize we have too many needs.

/NCSU Russell Wilson love.

I think we're all going to be a little surprised when he goes way too early, like the end of the 3rd early. I like Wilson a lot, but not enough to spend anything higher than a 6th on him.

Amen brother. I would love to have this kid as Cam's backup...PLEASE let him fall to the 6th!

Derek Anderson is our number 2. He actually looked good in the preseason last year. I don't see anyone overtaking him, unless he voluntarily leaves the position.

I think Derek Anderson is awesome for the team, awesome for Cam, and a great guy to have around for the chemistry of the team. But, I'd like there to be a 3rd QB that is learning the mobile-QB offense, learning the zone read, so that, God forbid, if Cam gets hurt, the offense wouldn't change as much as if Anderson stepped in.

(And it'd give us a reason to get rid of Clausen.)

I heard earlier today that he was projected to go between the 4th and 7th.

It's crazy. I love everything about the guy and hope we pick him up with one of those picks. I'm a sucker for underdogs too and any guy coming in the league as a QB at 5'10" is automatically one of my favorite players. I think he has quality starter potential down the road as well.

He won't even be able to see over our lineman. No.

“That’s the way I look at it, to be honest with you," Wilson said. “I started over 50 games in college and did well. I played behind the fourth-biggest offensive line in the entire country and that’s including the NFL.

    • I have a hard time imagining us making any changes mid-season no matter how bad it gets. Tepper is impulsive. But a) there's nothing to be gained by making a change 3 weeks into a season, you're already signaling your season is over. Is someone really going to step in at this point and turn things around? Anyone in the league? Or even CFB, because I don't think Bellichick could step in and right this ship. So the best we could hope for, is someone like Wilks to step in, boost morale enough to win a few meaningless games and ruin our chances at a top pick, and then have the wheels fall off again. And b) Tepper has proven that he is capable of learning some lessons. We really haven't heard much out of that clown recently. Certainly not as much as we used to the first few seasons. And by this I mean I think he knows he has a reputation. And no quality coach wants to go and work for the impulsive, meddlesome owner who repeatedly fires coaches midseason. We've already got to be the least attractive landing spots in the NFL with the absolute dearth of talent, conditioning, and playing surface that will keep players healthy. So the best thing to do is at least pretend that he's ready to stay out of the way. So either way, IMO the smart play is you let this play out all season.  Let these suckers go down with the ship, and if a regime change is needed, you wait til the end of the season to make a change.
