I watched Hardy every time he was on the field. that's why I started liking him.

But you're right, he hardly saw the field. Lol

So why do you like.him? It can't be cause of last season.

I am right. I know you saw him on special teams and 4-5 snaps a game and thought he was in there all the time!!

Coples is no Peppers.

Coples is a good player but he is no Peppers. If he was we wouldn't have a chance to draft him. You forget Peppers was a top 2 pick.

And Coples will be a top 10. Are you telling that if a guy gets drafted 2 versus 9 that it is because there is a big drop off?? Seriously?? Particularly when the top 2 positions wiil go to QBs. Peppers was the number 1 4-3 defensive end in 2002, Coples is the highest rated 4-3 DE in 2012. Ingram could go a few picks higher or not. He is kind of a tweener. Is Coples the next Peppers?? Who really knows, but he is the closest thing to it this year.

Peppers was the highest rated DE in a Decade. Pep was a once in a decade type talent. Coples is no where close to him.Their were 2 QB in his draft David Carr and Joey Harrington. Pep was such a elite Prospect he was never talked about getting past the 1st or 2nd pick.

Your comparing somebody who might be top 10 to a person who was top 2.

Hardy was used as a pass rush specialist his rookie season.

He saw the field more than special teams.

That's why us fans like him. I guess you like him for his forgettable starting season this last year?

So what did Everette Brown do? I never said he wasn't a pass rush specialist. I said he wasn't the 1st Pass Rush specialist to go in the game. He didn't get near the time on the field that Al Wallace did with Pep and Ruck. Nor did he get the time that CJ got With Pep and Tyler as the starters.

Kool, we agree more than we disagree.

I don't have anything against ya.

I've also never seen ya be so biased on any subject as you are in this one.

Think about that.

I'm going to call it a night.

Claw I've never seen you be so gunho about and Idea. But again I like Coples (i don't trust his motivation) but IF RR draft him I trust he can get the best out of him. And I know Coples isn't J Pep and Never will be. Which doesn't mean he won't be good but they don't make a lot of J Pep's.

All I said is when you draft Coples Hardy will take the Dan Connor route. As soon as he hits FA he will go somewhere to be a starter.

He wasn't a once in a decade type player. He was highly rated but it like calling Luck a once in a generation player. Some folks have called him that but at this point I don't see him as necessarily better than RGIII or Newton. If Peppers were a once in a decade player he would have gone 1 not 2. And he was not the best DE in the 2000s. And he isn't the best now. Again I think they compare pretty well and others agree.

But like Claw I am done. You obviously have your mind set and have for weeks. No need discussing anything about Dline until after we settle the draft. Then you might come back to reason.

I've got higher expectations for our 2nd year DTs honestly. NO matter who we draft, Fua and McClain are going to need to step up big.

As do I.. the catch is a rookie DT doesn't fix that problem (for obvious reasons).. which is the point of my former post..
