Of These 4 Draft Prospects Who Is Your Favorite?

He's got all the elite skill set a #1 receiver needs. Great size, good hands, good after the catch, can go deep or short, not to mention he's the best blocking receiver in the draft

And if he's got elite skill set so does Lafell and Gettis. Both are his same size and Gettis is way faster.

We only have 2 DE that can do that? What? Applewhite seemed pretty good as a hybrid de. Keister looked pretty darn good too. I say our ends looked ok.

No they didn't have a 20 sack season but they did pretty good.

And yes we have plenty of bodies at the DT position but what does thy matter if they aren't any good. I really don't like the guys we got last year: McClain and fua. I haven't givn up on them either but damn they looked pretty bad.

I guess I understand what Your saying though. U feel that hardy/keiser and the ends need an upgrade like I feel we need a upgrade over shirley/fua/McClain and co. But I just simply feel like DT is the position in more dire need of an upgrade.

Applewhite played in 12 games and averaged 2 tackles and a sack every 6 games. Not exactly great. We didn't even try to sign him as a free agent and when no one else picked him up he came back. Keiser came here at game 10 so it is hard to say much but he looks like a promising rookie.

I guess that some feel we need to upgrade DT but I just think that McClain gets this year to develop. If he struggles then maybe we go get someone next year. Like we do with wide receiver next year.

I think we need to draft DE, linebacker, and corner in the first 3 picks (not necessarily in that order). After that we go BPA regardless of position.

So again screw Hardy he only gets 1 chance.

I like Cam to Gettis and Lafell.

I hope Gettis is recovering well and makes big strides in this offense, but we don't know for sure.

Lafell doesn't have long speed. He's got quickness, burst off the line, and toughness, but he can't break away. If you need evidence of that go back and watch the bomb he caught from Cam for like a 60-70 yard touchdown. If Smitty didn't sprint down the field to block the defender, Lafell was going to get caught from behind. He is a nice possession receiver and will make some plays for us as a solid #2 or #3 receiver over the course of his career, but he won't ever be a #1. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not who he is. But we have to have a true #1 receiver for when Smitty leaves. I don't see that guy on the roster right now.

Gettis might prove me wrong, but he's got a lot of work to do.
