Yasinkas Has Us Taking Kuechly

So Ron Edwards off injury will boost the defense for sure but Jon Beason off injury is a crap shoot?

Yasinkas is a clown.

There is a HUGE difference in the type of injuries they sustained.

Not saying that I agree with his pick. But, your reason for calling him a clown is uninformed and laughable.

Torn achilles is much tougher to come back from 100% than a torn tricep which is no big deal to come back from.

Yes I do...12. Which didn't even get him in the TOP 50 in the NCAA in 2011

lol...

So what did you think of guys like Patrick Willis and Jon Beason. Luke was better than both of them behind the line of scrimmage as well. Using your logic both of them were overdrafted. Which is DUMB

Looking at that top 50 raw list means diddly poo. Has some guys that literally blitzed all game. Can't compare all them.

Someone is making excuses for an over-rated player.

Pointing out reality isn't making excuses.

Comparing a guy who asked to be a teams D to a one dimensional player asked to blitz all game means little....

Again, why do you think Beason and Willis were overdrafted? If you apply your logic to them they certainly were....

well jeez guys if you like beason so much you should like keuchly twice as much because he had over twice as many tackles which means he'll be twice the player beason is

tackles mean everything

Quick question, as tackles dont mean everything, but what was Beason better at?

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
