Bobcats Trade The #1 Pick?

ok I see the smoke coming out of your ears but hear me out. Bobcats need more than just 1 player. There are many teams with 2 first round picks, cleveland, portland, utah, New Orleans, Boston etc. Would you be willing to give #1 for 2 lower 1sts?

I wouldn't be opposed to it, especially if both of NOLA's lottery picks are top five...but I do have bad memories of the 2005 (?) draft when the 'Cats had two first and took felton/may when they probably should have traded both to get CP3 or Deron Williams. I know it was reported that trading was thought about and discussed.

1) We don't know where we are picking yet. 2) IF we have the number 1 pick, then absolutely not. There is no player in the draft on Davis' level. He is the type of guy that can turn around an organization. You build around that type of player. It was what the organization has always needed and never got. Even in year 1 when we should have been able to get Howard, we missed out. But like that, knowing our luck, we won't get the number 1 pick.

personally, I dont think Unibrow will be the superstar everyone expects him to be.

I'm with you on this. I personally would like 2 1st rounders, but I can understand the cats going with Davis. His offensive game just scares me

Honestly I would be completely willing to trade #1. I was thinking about this yesterday as a matter of fact. I am not as in love with the unibrow as everyone else (doesn't mean I think he will stink, just not convinced he is a franchise changer).

If we could get a king's ransom and only move down a couple spots I would do it in a heart beat.

I dont think he will be a superstar but a good player. I would trade #1 pick to get 2 lottery picks.

Definitely, especially if we can get the two best Duke and/or UNC players available.

I'd love to have Marshall as the PG, too bad they took Kemba last year and already have Augustin. :(

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
