Steve Smith, Best Player In Nfl

There are very few WR's in the NFL that are better than 89. I would say Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald. Arguing that Julio Jones is better than Smith is stupid because Julio has played one season. He has potential to be a great WR, but I want to see him perform great multiple seasons before I declare him the best WR in the NFC South. There are 7 WR's that passed 14000 career receiving yards. 3722 yards is what Steve Smith needs to reach that milestone and I think he will do it.

Ok name active receivers that have these accommodations! No Smith may be past his prime, and they are outstanding new gen of wr that will benefit in this passing league.......but until they earn these accommodations....they are not better then Smitty

In 2001, Smith was the first rookie to make the Pro Bowl as a special teams player since Tyrone Hughes in 1993.

In 2003, Smith’s 404 postseason yards were the most since Jerry Rice gained 409 yards in 1988.

In 2005, Smith became the first player since Washington Redskins' receiver Art Monk in 1984 to lead the NFL in receptions for a team that ran more often than it passed.

In 2005, Smith earned the NFL's receiving "triple crown", leading the league in receptions (103), yards (1,563) and touchdowns (12).

Smith is one of only three players in history to run back two punts for touchdowns and catch a touchdown pass in the same game.

Smith holds an NFL record for highest punt return average in a single game (51.0 yards).

Smith led the NFL in receiving yards per game in the 2008 NFL season.

All time Panthers leader in yards received (10,192), passing Muhsin Muhammad with (9,255) in 2011.

I know there is more this is just a copy/paste from wiki

Randy Moss. His resume pretty much poos all over that.

Guys like Reggie Wayne and even Ochocinco have more yards and TDs. Newer guys like Fitzgerald are on pace for a much better resume

Point was never that Julio was better right now. Point was merely it is better to have a stud WR with a decade of great play ahead of him rather than behind him.

Arguments that do not count.

1. You wouldn't say that to Smith's face.

2. Smith would beat all the other receivers up.

3. You should go cheer for the other teams receivers since you like them so much.

4. You shouldn't be saying this stuff on Mother's Day because you mother would be disappointed.

5. I look up to Smith admire him, but not those other guys.

6. All the logic you told me is good, but I just don't give a fug.

7. You are a Panther fan and Steve Smith is a Panther.

8. There a positive benefits for saying Steve Smith is the best even if you don't think it is true. And negativity if you dont. Oh NO!

9. Steve Smith has more career accomplishments than x receiver who has been in the league for a couple of years.
