Best Hands Of 2011 (Smith Ranked 19Th)

Recommended Posts

I can also guarantee you that all the other tight end's are on the list due to this divisions inability to find linebackers that can cover the tight end. However, in our case it was the injury bug that caused that problem; and the fact that Sherrod Martin just flat out sucked last year covering a tight end and making a jump on the ball when a pass was thrown on underneath route's to tight ends.

Olsen also probably would have been on that list if we didn't have Jeremy Shockey last year.

I expect to see huge numbers for Greg next year.

LaFell has the best hands on the team IMO.

LaFell may have shown he has good hands but you really might want to wait til he puts up 70 catches before sayin he catches better than Smitty. A big part of the catching process is tracking. Point being, Smitty gets to places no one can. . so his attempts are usually more difficult. He also targetted more in high risk throws since he is the top option. You cant really measure or even compare ability with stats as much as some try.
