If You Are Going To/were To Buy A New Jersey, Who Would You Pick?

I've really been debating who to get my first Nike jersey of. I have a White Smith, Black Peppers, and a Blue Beason.

I was thinkin Black Olsen or maybe even Kuechly.

What say you?

Newton seems like the most logical choice. If you can wait until midseason and Luke looks the part I would think that would be a good choice as well.

Here's the thing about Cam's jersey though,

Since I am on the west coast, if I were to rock a Cam jersey a lot of people would call me a bandwagoner or just stupid stuff like that since it looks like I just became a fan.

I saw this wanna be white thug outside my work with a white Cam jersey and I was shocked because you never see that in my area, and when I came up to give him props for liking the Panthers and it took him a second to realize what I was even talking about until I mentioned Cam's name.

If you are a panther fan you gotta have a smitty jersey for starters, personally my next jersey will be Cam

I like Smith as mush as anyone. I have never bought his jersey because every time I thought we were in the clear he would punch a teammate.

I'm pretty sure KEEP POUNDING is embroidered in all 3 jerseys.

Perhaps not every jersey is made the same way but I looked at the $100 model at the stadium on draft night and the Keep Pounding was clearly screen print and not stitches.

From the Panthers website.

NEW 2012 NIKE JERSEY!

  • hand-crafted inside and out for lasting, premium comfort
  • screen print numbers on front, back, and shoulders
  • screen print letters in name plate on back
  • screen print stripes, 2012 panther head logo, and Nike Swoosh on sleeves
  • NFL shield embroidered on front center collar
  • "KEEP POUNDING" printed inside back of collar
  • tailored fit designed for movement
  • 100% recycled polyester

I also have to share a cute story. Last season my niece was watching the game with me and asked me why Cam was wearing MY number. Not to be outdone I asked my other niece who her favorite Panther was and she answered "UNCLE". These girls know how to get lot's of ice cream and presents.

Who gives a fug where you're at? Since when would that even matter??? If you're a true fan and you're rocking the jersey, let em say somin... Then rattle off his rookie stats. That should shut the dude up rather quickly.

Maybe I'm weird, but I would never buy anything based off of what other people would think. I'd get it cause I liked it... And if they didn't oh fuggin well... That's me though

Because it's different living in California than living in NC or SC. I'm not a wimp so of course every time I hear that I'm gonna have to step up, but it just gets old.

A lot of bandwagoners are going to buy Newton jersey's like that kid in my example, and I don't wanna look like every other fan in my area.

It's not THAT big of factor in getting my jersey, It's just the one reason I would wait on getting a Cam jersey.

Sam Mills 51: it's like wearing a memorial. You'd probably be one of the first people to bring Mills into the new Nike style but at the same time you'd be honoring the team's heritage. If I saw someone wearing a new Mills jersey, I'd wanna shake their hand.

I guess bro. Do you.

For me, I already have: Smitty, DeAngelo, J-Stew, Olsen, Beason, and old school Peppers, Walls, and Proehl

So it was easy to choose Cam... But I guess if it's your first jersey I could see your problem

Not it's not my first jersey.

I have blue Beason and Williams. Black Peppers, and a white Smith.

I want a black Olsen or Cam. Maybe even Kalil.

If you get a Clausen maybe they'll love you for it out there... LOL

Oaks Christian is actually my old high school's rival. I saw Jimmy play before and he lives in my town.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
