Big Three Poll On Nfl.com

There's a poll on NFL.com right now asking what the best 'Big Three', QB, RB & WR combo, in the NFL is. The options are:

  • M. Shcaub, A. Foster and A. Johnson
  • M. Ryan, M. Turner and Roddy White
  • M. Vick, L. McCoy and D. Jackson

And you guessed it:

  • C. Newton, J Stewart and S. Smith

I think it's interesting that they chose to add us to the poll and especially interesting that they listed Stew over DeAngelo. You'd think with the question of whether to list Williams, Stewart or both they would have gone with a team with an every down back instead of one by committee like us. Roethlisberger, Mendenhall and Wallace sticks out in my mind as a combo that is a better QB, #1 RB, WR combo than ours even if Cam, Smitty and DeAngelo and Jonathan combined are better than them.

Thoughts?

Stewart got more reps than Williams and played a slighty bigger role. If you pick a RB kinda have to go with Stewart for this question

58 more yards....and Houston would have had 2 1000 yard rushers

Philly is the worst option on that list. Vick has fallen off tremendously and Jackson isn't an elite number one receiver. Don't know why anyone would pick them.

I agree, Jackson took a huge step back last year. At this point he was a one year wonder. Only trio I would consider is HOU really over us

Both Williams and Stewart are better than Mendenhall and Smith is better than Wallace.

Don't know why they would put Pitt over us.

I'm not saying Pitt's guys are better than ours. It's just that with them you don't have the issue of having to choose between two comparable running backs. Mendenhall had double the carries of their next back.

    • We paid Bridgewater 60 million and cut his ass after 1 season because he didn’t have the arm talent to operate the offense. Only difference is Teddy wasn’t Tepper’s little pet project.
    • Being happy about a win isn't giving up on them, but when people say things like, "we should just be happy after a win given how bad we've been the last 10 years", that's being happy regardless of how we looked because we don't get a lot of wins, which is straight up loser mentality. And that's my point, 95% of the people happy about this win are also saying those kind of things. I'm not upset that we won, I'm upset that we still didn't look good in key areas, namely play calling, if you can't see the difference between those things, then that's a you problem, not a me problem. This win does NOTHING for us into the future, which is why it's hard for me to get exited over a win against another horrible team where we still didn't look good outside of a few big runs by Rico.  Trust me, if we turned some corner and looked great with Canales calling a great game to keep the Dolphins guessing wrong all day, then yea, I'd be on here celebrating it up, but that's not close to what happened.
    • Tremayne is a better WR than Young is a QB. Why make so many excuses for Young and not Tremayne?
